The rules around hook and hold need to change. Have seen it a lot this year. Underlying reason is safety, but many times there really isn't any.
But, my main problem is calls like in today's Creighton game. SDSU gets defensive rebound and pushes it to other end, misses, I think ball out of bounds for Creighton. They go to review. Call hook and hold on prior possession. SDSU gets 2 free throws and the ball. If they had made shot on the push out, the free throws and shot on possession after free throws they could have scored up to 8 points before Creighton got ball back. Seems excessive.
If they dont call foul on play and review later, should be 1 or 2 free throws but no possession change
