I came across this story and thought what the heck, the Bobcat seasons are over why not discuss something like this.
Wonder if sports media and some announcer will latch on to this and pump it up all they can or will it fall flat.
Let's put Tom Brady in charge of inflating the Basketballs for the tournament.
It's not exactly his sport but this seems like a good retirement hobby for him.
With TB 12 doing the inflation we can count on the minimum PSI or less.

I mentioned to my wife the rims seemed uniformly tight during the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament, both men’s and women’s. Shots don’t arrive with a clunk like they did at the Big Sky tournament. And rebounds on long shots have been pretty crazy. I heard the announcers saying how one shorter player did such a great job on the glass. I think they might have meant “grass” because I don’t think he nabbed more than two rebounds anywhere in the air near the glass. I saw a lower-trajectory three-point shooter down the middle about three feet beyond the arc get their own rebound back like it was a pass out. They missed again. I’d believe in tight rims and hard basketballs.

If the balls were Rawlings, I’d suspect they were juiced.

It’s the higher seams. That, with good rotation is causing the basketball to have more late movement.
