This team fought hard, but to win have to limit turnovers and hit threes. We did neither.

Losing Patrick McMahon hurt our rotation down low. Needed his athleticism tonight. Brown, Battle, Osabor showed out tonight.

Great season, if we can hang onto Battle, should be tough next year.

Big jump from last year.

This game was way closer than it appeared. KSU had four or five shots go down that I thought were quite lucky. Cats uncharacteristically shot poorly from the foul line. A couple less turnovers, etc. I know- coulda , shoulda, woulda but man if we just play a solid game like we did in the BSC tournament we’re right there. Another great season. 🙂

I'd be more worried about Osobor than Battle...

Either way it's a lot more fun to discuss a coulda-woulda-shoulda game than last year's 35-point blowout that was over by the first media timeout!

Same.

If we can upgrade from Fuller and Patterson, we’ll be legit good next year. Also, win a couple of those early-season games and maybe we can get a 12 or 13 seed instead of the obligatory 14.

In years past, I always felt we were completely outmatched. Not tonight. These guys played like they belonged and I think they managed a very good K-State team. Unfortunately, they were able to shut Bello down then they hit a bunch of wacky luck short shots there at the end.

I'm proud of these guys!

Battle, Great, Brown and Ford showed up. Everyone else.....

Shooting and turnovers doomed us. We were pretty close to being right there with a top 15 team. Lots to be happy about.
Brown is a very efficient player. Vastly underrated. Get a guy like that at every spot and you become a Creighton, Drake type of team, which is what msu should be shooting for.

Yeah, you could see why so many people were predicting an upset. It’ll be interesting to see what Sprinkle does during the offseason.

We brought our C minus game instead of our A game (except for Battle of course who was A plus) yet we were in the game throughout.

Next year could really be special if we can keep everyone in place and find a reliable 3 point shooter.

Bobcats took a step forward this year and performed better in the tournament. Keep the team together and Sprink running the show and the Cats will be tough as nails next year. No doubt, Battle, Osabor could be poached. They could play on most teams in the country. I would guess Coach Sprink's phone is ringing with offers too. Hope he stays.

Great year for MSU....thank you Jubrile and Caleb for all your contributions and good luck!

Go Cats!!

The Chronicle published a picture of Belo and Battle celebrating the Big Sky win. You can clearly see Belo’s fingers taped together. You can also see a significant bruise where the web between the fingers is. I think that’s bothered him a great deal. If it still looked that bad at the Big Sky tournament then it’s still not probably in great shape.

I also wondered if Belo was suffering a flu bug or something. He just didn’t have his usual energy and he sat for a long time in the first half.

I am proud of that team and really enjoyed watching them this season. Will miss the seniors for sure. I know the loss was a disappointment for them however they represented well. As some have mentioned, they needed to play a nearly perfect game to win. Keep your heads-up!

Yes excellent season, we replaced some key players and reloaded. We have a hard time pounding inside against higher level teams so to pull the upset need to be 40 % on 3's to have a shot. Last 2 years we have not been able to do that. Defense was very good until end when we had to take chances and speed game up.
