I went to the BSC Tournament for the first time last year. Granted, that was a special year given that both the men and women Bobcats won. However, I still think I would have had a helluva good time regardless. Boise is such a fun town. Knowing where and when the tournament's going to be ahead of time makes it really easy to plan.
May have to go next year, although the NCAA Tournament 1st/2nd round is in Spokane and they also do an excellent job of hosting with War Memorial being downtown, too. I've gone to that venue three times for the NCAAs over the years and highly recommend it for Hoop Heads like me.

Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings

What a ride

One advantage to this schedule is that the women’s and men’s tournaments proceed in parallel. As Joe Cravens pointed out, only four games per day, split evenly. Each broadcast crew before had to handle four men’s or four women’s games in one day, which was beyond brutal and mind-numbing. It favors the top seeds for their rest days (and game preparation). RaeQuan Battle stated as such in his post-game interview after they defeated Northern Colorado. School is still in session (I don’t think it’s Spring Break), and they are experiencing the joys of hotel homework. Hopefully one of their group assignments is to work together to bring home a really nice trophy.

History of championship game matchups, seed listed first was the winner:

2022: 1 v 3
2021: 2 v 5
2019: 1 v 3
2018: 1 v 3
2017: 1 v 3
2016: 1 v 2
2015: 2 v 1
2014: 1 v 2
2013: 1 v 2
2012: 1 v 2
2011: 1 v 2
2010: 4 v 1

So yes it appears it hasn't mattered.
And that's 12 years in a row that the 1 or 2 seed has won the Big Sky Tournament. Seems like the current format is working just fine even with the neutral site. The WCC might as well just rename their tournament the Gonzaga Invitational.
