First game I’ve been to in almost a decade.
They play good defensively. Brown is a really steady PG. seems like they could really use a consistently good 3-pt shooter. Battle is FUN.

I'm not used to beating Weber State on a fairly regular basis, but Sprinkle is getting it done. It was a pretty comprehensive dismantling except for giving up a 10-0 run to start the second half. Weber decided to go super physical and our team matched it-no problem. The lineup with both our point guards and both our centers on the floor at the same time proved to be really effective. The high-low with Belo to Osobor was unstoppable. We can do that when both guys aren't in foul trouble.
I thought Patterson had his three point shot dialed in, but he was chucking up bricks today. Battle's three has kinda eluded him lately too. Ford and Brown were pretty good today from out.
Fuller and Osobor did a really good job defensively on Dillon Jones. I've seen a guy work harder to get 13 points.

That 14-0 run over 3 minutes to end the first half was an absolute thing of beauty. Weber is a good team, no surprise they made a bit of a run but MSU never seemed to get rattled and methodically built the lead back up. Hope the refs got a cut of the ticket revenue because they clearly thought we were there to watch them and not the players.

Great game but will agree that the refs were particularly poor and over managed some things.

It was pretty chippy though-especially when Weber tried to go downhill on us on offense and get really physical on defense. I think the refs felt like they needed to keep a tight leash on things. I really missed Randy Rahe's temper tantrums on the sidelines. Their new coach just doesn't have it. Poor guy has some impossible shoes to fill.

Finally got to watch the Cats roll at home. Thought a couple times they were going to let Weber back in a couple times but then they would stretch the lead out again.
Battle is absolutely worth the price of admission. Somebody had better of called Sportcenter.

Battle is the most exciting Cat player to watch since... ?
Tyler Hall was fun to see him fill up the stat sheet from downtown.
Frey was fun to watch him shoot deep 3s and dish some dimes.
Maybe since Carlos Taylor?

Kral and Shan Ferch were the most fun to watch. Battle is definitely just as fun if not better. If he can continue he will definitely pass the Ferch boys.

Was thinking the same thing. Kral was a joy to watch in college, high school, and the neighborhood driveways. That said, Battle is insane. And he has matured a lot since last year, which makes him a perpetual threat.
