Huse finishes his 2011 recruiting class

Post by mslacat » Fri Jun 10, 2011 10:36 am

I have heard that Brad Huse's Montana State basketball team has finally finished its 2011 recruiting class with the signing of Michael Dison of Dekaney high school located in Spring Texas (in the Houston area). Dison is a 5-10 (some times listed at 5-11) point guard who averaged 18 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals a game while shooting 44% from the field, 39% from 3 point range and 79% from the charity strip.

Denaney high school finished was a power in the Houston basketball scene last season posting a perfect 14-0 record in league play and a 31-6 overall record. For his efforts Dison was named Co-District Most Valuable Player an honor he shared with teammate junior Jalen Hughes.

On Mike Dison Facebook fan page he has the following 2011 awards and accomplishments listed.
CO-district MVP
1st Team All-district
VYPE 3rd team all Houston
TEXAS-All Region team
TEXAS-All State Team
TABC All Star
HABCA All Star...and
HOUSTON'S 5-a Player of the year

Dekaney junior teammates 6-4 G/F Jalen Hughes (19 pts 2 ast 5 reb) and 6-3 G/F Kasey Shepherd (11pts 2ast 6rbs) are both expected to be sought after D-1 recruits in 2012.

Dison fits the bill of Huse's 2011 recruiting class in terms of being extremely athletic and can really push the ball up the court. He has good hands and length and can disrupt the passing lanes as well as picking the pocket of opposing guards. He should be a good replacement for Casey Trujeque a young point guard in the system. He is every bit as quick as Casey, not quite the floor general, but much more explosive offensively that Casey was. Dison has deep 3 point range a very quick release which should help him get his shot off at 5-10. Here is his 2011 high light tape

Wow! Another good looking recruit from Huse. This is - on paper - Brad's best recruiting class since he's been at MSU. Hopefully this is a harbinger if things to come from this coaching staff and team. Go Cats!

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.
