Lady Cats vs Lady Griz

Post by bpcats » Thu Jan 20, 2011 4:29 pm

Should be a great matchup. Sara Ena vs Rachael Semansky is going to be a battle. With Portland State taking down ISU and how close Weber battled both UM and MSU just shows there that there is a lot parity and the slim difference between winning and losing.

I think that if MSU is to pull out this win then the Cats need to be shooting the ball well and that Katie and Lyndie need to have big scoring nights. This is a game where we will miss Chelsea Banis a lot.

Couple of great articles on the Lady Cats in todays Helena IR and Bozeman Chronicle. Real gutty team this year.

If only this team could have stayed healthy! Congrats ladies on a great start.

Pretty good article in the Billings Gazette on Calli Durham as well. Looks like you got another good one there along with Jackie Elliott out of Billings. Does that mean that you're all goin' to try and win some BB games here for the first time in thirty years?

Actually the Lady Cats beat the Griz in Dahlberg Arena last year.

34-23 MSU, 3:11 to go in the 1st. UM going to the line after the timeout. Cats looking great in the last 5 minutes or so.

Busey has 2 points

Semansky hasn't missed a shot and hit her 1st 3 pointer of the year.

When UM played ISU and won a lot of it had to do with ISU turning the ball over a lot without much pressure. So far MSU hasn't been sloppy with the ball and that is the difference so far.

Busey has 4, but I see what you are getting at. 8)

Actually, Busey has 0 points, although Bussey does have 4. ;)

Cats up 13 at the half and looking strong, they would be in a very, very strong position atop the conference with a win here.

This team is just playing free and easy-like they don't have a care in the world. Up 39-26.

They're a little prone to dry spells-got to watch that in the second half-it's far from over.

Bussey only has the 4, but she sure is a good little player-very quick first step. She's diverted a lot of attention and other players are stepping up.

Well the Cats are playing very very sloppy right now, Griz are making their run. Just a 7 point game now after pushing the lead up to 14 early in the 2nd.

Cats have turned the ball over about 8 times in the last 5 minutes. This is getting ugly, Griz are within 2 now.

Good lord, turnovers and the Griz are getting offensive rebounds on every possession.

The Lady Griz have so many big bodies down low (taller and longer) than any post player we have. This is the game where we miss a player like Banis.

Its Cat Griz...it will be a battle..
