Lady Cats vs Weber

Post by bpcats » Mon Jan 17, 2011 7:51 pm

Should be a good game, as Weber almost beat the Lady Griz.

Matchup to watch is PG Ausha Cole vs her former teammate Johnson (also point guard).

Girls playing hard on defense but are struggling to rebound and make shots. Weber is being forced to shoot the ball as time winds down.

Looks likes Men's team when they played EWU in the first half.

Score? ESPN hasn't posted one yet and the game is almost an hour old.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Lady Cats win 66-56 in a tough fought game. MSU got a nine point burst coming out of the half after that it was even.

Every ball that hit the floor was tied up. MSU caused 19 turnovers which was the difference in the game (vs 12). Latisha Adam hit two big shots down the stretch when we needed them.

Cat Griz will be really interesting next weekend. The Cats are playing really good defense which has been a big key for them this year...had 13 steals.

Whoops, forgot the women had a game tonight (Monday night basketball, BSC???) but very glad to hear they won again! Portland State beat Idaho State tonight, which leaves MSU as the only undefeated team in conference play at this point. Now let's keep it going and beat the Griz on Saturday!

I know that the men's game is being televised, but does anyone know if the women's game will also be on TV? And if so, on the regular local MTN stations, or possibly on the CW affiliates instead?

The only women's game slated for TV (aside from Big Sky TV online) is the tournament championship on Altitude and the two UM-MSU games on KPAX.

So the women's game against UM is going to be televised throughout Montana on the "Griz Network"?
