I have looked at what to expect from Binford and her staff recruiting.

Sounds like Allou is a lot like Austin Brown that left, maybe not a total scorer but just an athletic player that can contribute in the rotation.

On the women's side it sure looks like Coach Selvig reeled in one of the best Montana Girls classes in a long time. Between Lexi Nelson, Carly Selvig, Tori Cahill, and Sullivan that is quite the haul.

Coach Binford does a great job of recruiting players that fit her system, but we lost a ton with the graduation of Erica Perry. Should be a fun battle in the years to come with Ausha Cole (defensive specialist) going against her high school classmate (at Weber State) that is more of a scorer.

I was thinking that Aollou was more like former Griz who just graduated Vassy Banny but 2-3 inches taller. He will be more of a 4 for us I think.

Who do Salley and Johnson stack up similar to? How about Trejuque(sp?), Reid and the others?

Congrat's to Huse and his staff for putting together what looks to be an excellent recruiting class.

Also, congrat's to the athletes on landing a full ride scholarship at an excellent academic institution.

I was talking over the recruits with Will Holden and saw this post and got me thinking. This is what i cam up with on a trip to Stevensville and back this afternoon.

I am not saying that they will be as good as these guys, only time will tell, but these are player types they remind me of

Salley - Quadrie Lolis
Truqeque - One part Scott Hatler, on part Muggsy Boughs (OK not a bobcat/Griz but best I could do) better shooter than both.
McCall - Danny Sprinkle quicker than Sprinkle, is anyone as mentally tough as Sprinkle
Allou - 2-3 inches taller version of Griz Vassy Banny
Brumwell - Mike Fellows, going way back, better scorer
Reid - Eric Rush not as good ball handler/ better rebounder at same point.
Johnson - I can not think of any player with his athleticism at the forward spot at the Big Sky level. maybe a power forward version of Nico Harrison

Here's what Mslacat and I concocted. We ranked the incoming MSU men's class. I think it's a fun, informative read. Hope you agree: http://bozeman-www2.bozemandailychronic ... og/?p=3389" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Looks like a heck of a class. We be sitting pretty if half of them live up to their enormous potential. I'm hoping Reid will do what Rush has failed to do so far and find the fire. Nice to see lots of size and athletisism coming in!
