This is 2 weeks in a row for the Ladies. Katie Bussey won the award last week. Congrats to Sarah and the team for winning their tourney last weekend. The Bobcat women are 5-1 and sit atop the conference standings. Big game Friday hosting Gonzaga @ 5:30 and then host MSU-Northern Sunday at 2pm. Be there in bunches for both games and be LOUD! These gals can play and are extremely well-coached.

Sacramento State’s Charday Hunt and Montana State’s Sarah Strand received Big Sky Co-Player of the Week honors for games played the week of November 24-December 1.
Hunt and the Hornets went 2-1 last week, including a 74-71 victory over Washington on Sunday. It was Sacramento State’s first-ever win over a Pac-10 opponent. She averaged 20.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game and earned all-tournament honors at the Husky Classic.
The senior forward started the week with 22 points and 10 rebounds in an 80-68 victory over the Seattle Redhawks on Wednesday. Hunt followed up the performance with 20 points and eight rebounds in a loss to Memphis on the first day of the Husky Classic. She then scored 19 points, and knocked down 7-of-8 from the foul line as the Hornets defeated Washington.
Hunt, a native of Portland, Ore., scored 61 total points last week. She made it to the free-throw line 29 times and nailed 21 of those attempts.
Strand led Montana State to it’s own Bobcat Thanksgiving Classic title with wins over Southern Utah and Winthrop. She was named the Tournament MVP after averaging 16.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.0 blocks per game last week.
The junior forward notched her first double-double of the season with a game-high 17 points and 11 rebounds on Friday in a 62-43 win over the Thunderbirds. The 11 rebounds was also a new career-high for Strand.
In the championship game against Winthrop, she led Montana State with 15 points and eight rebounds. In addition, she tied the Montana State school record with six blocked shots. The native of Shoreline, Wash. shot 60 percent from the field, and 85.7 percent from the free-throw line.
