Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

Things may have looked bleak a month ago but I'm feeling a lot better today about the outlook for MSU basketball next year. Of course, it's impossible to predict how things will shake out in the Big Sky next year when nearly every team has to do a total roster rebuild every year. I assume the Griz will be favored since they're the defending champs and were at least able to retain a few of their top players. I found an article listing MSU as one of the teams who offered Steppe out of high school, so it would appear that those connections eventually paid off.

I agree with the sentiment, how much my confidence and expectations have risen in the past few days! Welcome to the family Jaden, you made a great choice!

Tomcat lit me up for spelling a student athlete's name wrong once. Anyway, can this get corrected to Jaden?

This from an article announcing his signing at CSU.

“Jaden Steppe | 6-8 | 220 | Forward | Tualatin, Ore. | Tualatin HS
Playmaking big man Jaden Steppe will be joining the Colorado State men's basketball program next year. The four-star prospect via ESPN is ranked 230th in the nation for the class of 2024 according to 247Sports Composite rankings. Steppe is the second-rated recruit out of the state of Oregon for his class. He has helped Tualatin High School to back-to-back Oregon 6A state titles and aiming for a third this season. Steppe played AAU for Rose City Rebels and NW Rotary Rebels.

The son of Kirk and Janine Steppe, he has two siblings Dakota and Bridger. He plans to major in business.

Why Jaden Chose CSU
"I chose Colorado State because of the family environment and a style of play that fits me perfectly."”

If his brother Bridger does not eventually play for the Cats it will be a crime.
