Oh you thought it was bad news? Ain't I a stinker....

So congratulations to Brooke and her fiance!

I'd love to see her earn more minutes. Seems like her health/injuries have been a challenge. From all accounts I've seen and been told she should be a great contender to come off the bench and even start after she time and had a stretch of health.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 4:56 pmThat’s awesome. One thing the extended shelf life of players has done is seemingly create more marriages.
I’m still a Brooke Berry fan. Defense she can play. Maybe this injury has held her back, because she no doubt has more offensive punch than we’ve seen. I like her pull-up bank shots — she elevates well and actually takes advantage of the backboard to create a shot that has a bigger chance of success. Congratulations, Brooke! Go ‘Cats.
I guess was it a distraction for Madison Jackson when she became Madison Hall? I would say not.CatRowdy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 1:25 pmI'd love to see her earn more minutes. The only other question becomes does being married become a bit of a distraction for the player? Is her fiance ready for a time when maybe she's playing a lot and really having the demands of being in the line up put upon her? Lot's of variables, guess the situation will play out.
Happy for her!
Nor was it a distraction for KJ this year, the only people who struggled were all the Big Sky announcers who had to remember to call her Martin instead of Limardo. As long as there aren't any kids in the family yet I'm not sure if playing basketball while married would be a whole lot different than playing while engaged or dating someone.lutecat wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 5:06 pmI guess was it a distraction for Madison Jackson when she became Madison Hall? Good question. Tyler Hall was married — don’t know how it affected him, good or bad, but he struggled through it. I suspect it’s usually a positive for the guys — settle them down a bit.
Someone can probably answer that better than I, but perhaps all or most of it? Had a kid, too. Cute little guy. Saw pictures somewhere of him with a little kid’s basket at no more than the age of two. @Colter_Nuanez knows all.lutecat wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 6:59 pmWell she just got engaged Saturday.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 5:53 pmBrooke is just engaged? Tyler Hall was married? I did not know that. How many years of his playing career?
I have zero recollection of this. I'm almost inclined to wonder if you are mistaking him for another Bobcat basketball player? I know Tyler Hall dated the volleyball libero Kasey Altman who then ended up getting terrible cancer, which she fought for a very long time, but unfortunately passed away in 2022.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 9:30 amSomeone can probably answer that better than I, but perhaps all or most of it? Yeah I feel the same way. Gotta be someone other than Hall.Colter_Nuanez wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 11:57 amI have zero recollection of this. Are we sure it's Tyler Hall? I was basically embedded with Fish....And Fish never stopped talking....I feel like this would've been a conversation point...
