Not a lot of jobs open right now that would seem to be potential moves for Coach Sprinkle. Cal is rumored to be looking at hiring the UC-Santa Barbara coach, so perhaps if he leaves then UCSB could be interested in Danny. Would be at least a doubling in base salary and Danny coached for years in the Big West as an assistant.
Better be at least twice as much:

From what I am hearing the UCSB head coach's salary is in the $185-210K
According to this their current head coach was making close to $400K in 2019.

I don’t blame any college coaches for chasing the money, the 500,000 salary in California is misleading because half of that is going to taxation
Danny needs to holdout for a GREAT opportunity like PAC-12 or the Gonzaga job when it opens up!

Totally agree with your first point. VERY expensive. We moved out in late 17. Our house sold for $170,000. Now for sale for $325,000. Inflation and taxes are doing no favors for those living in cali. We feel it here but nothing like cali.

Well, real estate prices in Santa Barbara are a moot point now. Being reported that Cal will hire Mark Madsen of Utah Valley once the NIT is over.

Bought a house in San Diego in 2000 for $275k and decided to sell it 6 months later (new construction so that helped) for $325k. Went to Japan for 3 years and the house sold twice in 2004 @ $750k. This spring it is valued at $1.1M. Kickin' myself in the a$$ everytime I think about that house.
