Bobcat basketball program stuck in a time warp

Post by wahaneebelly » Tue May 25, 2010 4:36 am

It appears the school has proven that time travel is indeed possible. And it wasn't some astrophysics major who provided the proof for Einstein's theory of relativity and the time-space continuum.

No, it's the athletic department that has successfully travelled back in time, back to 2004 when the school first began looking for a new men's basketball coach and the Brandon University Faculty Association (BUFA) was filing the first of four grievances on behalf of deposed former coach Jerry Hemmings.

I think he is talking about the Brandon University Bobcats. I did a quick google search of Jerry Hemmings and that is what came up.

Yep...Brandon university are the Bobcats...And they are blue and gold like us. I think they are in Canada

WOW that is old. But the 1957 one looks brand new compared to that other one.

It’s all in good fun….. :D

You guys got a great new scoreboard…. I recall hearing your locker rooms where remodeled, and it sounds like you will be bringing your cannon out of retirement this year. Let’s hope that thing goes off often this year (except Oct. 30). All progress starts somewhere, let’s hope these changes the past couple of years are the begining of great things at ISU.

As for the Brick…. There’s probably a little bit of truth there. Luckily, we had a $13 million remodel in the late 90’s to modernize. Does it still need some upgrades, sure (e.g. the scoreboard), it's on my wish list right after the sky boxes for the football stadium.
