Huse-mongous game tonight

Post by TomCat88 » Thu Feb 18, 2010 7:26 am

Well maybe not that big of a game, but a win tonight sets up a showdown in Missoula for third place. Third place means if you win your first round game you play No. Colorado on a neutral court instead of Weber on its homecourt in the BSC semis.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Predict the score! Sac St getting 13 points. MSU win by 12 or less???$$$???$$$$

I'm guessing 73-59 MSU.

wow. the cats are really getting that many? gotta say that if that's still the line this afternoon when i normally place my bets i'll probably kae sac. #-o i just don't see the cats beating anyone that bad. hope i'm wrong. then again...hope i'm right. i think the cats will win tonight, but i think it'll be closer to a 4-8 point win. 13 is a ton.

13 is a lot of points in a college basketball game.

That said, I think the Cats will win by something very close to that.

I thought MSU was going to blow them out tonight and it looked like they might until SSU got hot in the second half. Nonetheless a nice win for MSU coming out of a rough stretch of just one win in five games. My guess is the reserves will get a lot of PT against SJSU Saturday night. Sets up a good game with UM next week.

I think (don't recall if BSC goes in descending or ascending order, think it's descending) UM holds the tie-break over UNCO, so wins over MSU and SSU, then a loss by UNCO would get them into second. A 3-way tie for second between MSU, UNCO and UM would go to MSU. UNCO plays PSU tomorrow and @SSU next Sat., so they should win at least one of those. If they lose one then UM (assuming they beat SSU) would be in an all-or-nothing game against MSU since a win by UM would put them in second, but a loss would drop them to fourth.

ya i don't bet against the cats often, although they are never favored by that many points! there are few blowouts in the big sky this year, and we all know the cats don't blow anyone out. it was a perfect night for me because i won my parlay betting against that crazy spread, and the cats won as well. doesn't get better!

Was that you who gave SAC their halftime pep talk? :D They sure came out on fire, which I'm sure you appreciated.

I think Huse will play it pretty straight up. A win over SJSU gurantees his first winning season as a Bobcat head coach.
