Re: PSU
I was very pleased with the Bobcats' effort tonight. The first half looked so smooth and it seems like all cylinders were clicking offensively. Portland State came on in the second half as the Cats got cold, but they held on. PSU's free throw shooting didn't impress me, but they made quite a comeback. They're a great 3 point shooting team. The atmosphere was great and it was a fun game. I hope Sunday's game has the same result.
GO CATS!
It's always a good day to be a Bobcat fan!

My name is Steve, if you'd like to know.

Re: PSU
Jeff Friedman just showed the highlights on channel 6. He compared the end of the last seasons championship game where Waters made contact with one of our players as he dished off for the winning dunk-but wasn't called for the charge-with the end of tonights game where Waters ran into Bynum at the end and was called for the charge. The plays looked very similar.
I guess that's a call you'll get at home.
I was surprised they called it tonight. It was the right call in my opinion-but often times the refs swallow the whistle in the closing seconds (like last season's Big Sky Championship game).
Good job by Jeff to show it-very interesting.

Great Gutsy, down and dirty game right down to the end. There was a time when we would not be able to pull out these type of game. I have a feeling every single game this year is going to come down to the end like this one. 4-1 tied at the top of the league. Bobby Howard is playing with so much poise, and confidence this year. He always had the talent but now he is playing like a leader, and Eric Rush is such a great, complete player it is fun to watch him play!
To all my Griz friends you can send your thank you to Brad and the Boys. It could not have worked out better. PSU will be in Missoula tonight after playing a tough game in Bozeman and playing their starters almost the entire game. PSU starters averaged 33 minutes last night and it would have been larger if Guede had no got into foul trouble.

Re: PSU
Talk about balanced scoring! If you want to beat the Cats...who do you stop? Who knows ....someone else will beat you if you concentrate on one or two players. Balance makes us tough offensively...everyone shoots the three...and we match up well defensively with most teams in the conference with quick guards, a big rangy and quick 3, and physical 4's. If we had someone at the 5 like Mbunga we'd be scary!

Portland State got housed in Missoula tonight, 90 something to 58? At one point they were 1-13 from 3.
The games on back-to-back nights are really gonna hurt the lowlanders, especially jumpshooting teams like PSU... ISU played UNC tough after playing at NAU last night and ISU's definitely not a jumpshooting team.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Portland State-though talented-doesn't have a huge amount of depth. I know their backup point guard was a bit of train wreck last night. And they absolutely live by the outside shot. NAU got blown out at home tonight by Weber-NAU isn't very deep either.

Good call. UM won 90-58 and it looks like PSU didn't have the legs as they hit on just 2 of 15 3s. Just 39.6 overall and were -7 in rebs.mslacat wrote:To all my Griz friends you can send your thank you to Brad and the Boys. It could not have worked out better.
