I am sorry, I am so mad I could spit. Those two and another "former bobcat" were arrested on drug charges. They think it may be related to the murder. They had to wait to arrest because of an informant or something. They mentioned it could possibly be a drug ring. I HOPE NOT.
I can barely type. This is all from the Montana News Station.

More problems for MSU athletes

Dec 12, 2006 05:15 PM MST

There's more problems with the athletic department at Montana State University. Montana's News Station has learned that one present, and two former, Bobcat football players have been arrested and charged with felony drug counts.

Among those charged, starting cornerback Andre Fuller, former wide receiver Eddy Sullivan, and former defensive back Derrick Davis.

When asked, Gallatin County Attorney Marty Lambert told us that there is reason to believe that there's a connection between these crimes and the murder case of Jason Wright which occurred in late June of this year.

Yeah, the best part is when the TV mentioned drug ring. Do these guys need babysitters?

Hope this does not also end up involving Henderson and LeBlanc who both had suspensions this year. It appeared they were substance related.

Davis' name is on the jail roster but not the other two. This is sickening. I know two of them are no longer on the team but they were brought here by the athletic Dept.

Pisses me off.

5:30 news said Fuller and Sullivan had both posted $10,000 bond- more news to come at 10:00.

The whole situation is really sad, especially if goes back to the murder situation.

This pretty much kills in-state recruiting I would guess.

Not intended to be smack...Does this affect Kramer's Idaho job posturing?

Well in Missoula this would not even be an issue as they recently voted to make prosecuting possession of weed the lowest priority for the police department. These guys would not even be in jail. Maybe they should call Murphy's dad to represent them.

If this is a legitimate drug charge (something more severe than a harmless pot possession), he will likely be in jail, and I would expect that the yanked scholarship is a foregone conclusion.

I wonder if people will hold the coaching staff responsible for this, or for any of the other charges against current and former athletes. I will be one of the first people to say that a coach can oversee a potential bad apple, but there seems to be too many bad apples for a coach to honestly overlook. I am starting to question what type of athlete we are bringing to Bozeman.

As of this time we don't need one. On the same news show Kramer said he had talked to UI this afternoon, he had not received an on campus invite, and wasn't sure where they were in the process. He did say that regardless of the outcome "it's a win-win situation for Mike Kramer".
