FIRE BAILEY

Post by cat92 » Wed Dec 06, 2006 6:19 pm

Coach Bailey has had his chance...send him on his way. If not, expect a inconsistent and predictable offense AND DO NOT COMPLAIN about it. If no one will demand the firing, then expect below average performances and bad decisions by the OC.

Call Kramer and tell him personally how you feel, he's the only one who can make the choice. Your rant here is like pissing in the wind, noone here has firing authority and I seriously doubt if Kramer spends his time on BN.

If Kramer goes to Idaho can he take Bailey with him?

I imagine he probably would...but let's be honest folks, Bailey probably isn't going anywhere as long as Kramer is the head coach at MSU!

I hold Bailey 100% responsible for the App. State loss. It is his responsibility to get good quarterbacks in here and then to coach them on the very basics of football like throwing the ball away, rather than taking a sack. It says a lot about where the program is headed with Bailey on board. Montana State University deserves better and so do the athletes.

Good post. Can I steal your post and insert Hauck's name the next time Egriz fans start whining about our O-coordinator?

The Michael Jefferson reverse pass call was definitely Bailey's fault, but he is not the one who threw the ball. I'd venture to guess they told Mike to tuck and run if the option isnt there... hard to do though if he's never been in that position before. Saying that, the loss to Appy was not Bailey's fault, it was a team loss.

A. OL did not protect well enough
B. Rolo missed countless receivers downfield when he did have time to throw
C. We started our 3rd string RB for most the 1Q
D. Defense missed 2 golden opportunities with turnovers early in the game
E. Besides that, Appy was just a better team than MSU and has won 25 straight at The Rock. Our boys competed, and never gave up all game long, coming back twice from 2 scores down. Great effort MSU, ignore morons like cat92 and hold your heads high.

Do you seriously think Bailey was telling Jack... "look Rolo, you are faster than anyone on Appy's defense, if nobody is open, just run it" Get over yourself 92. Until you sit and watch tape with coaches/players you have no idea how valuable/worthless Bailey is as a coach. My opinion, he's done a pretty decent job here. He's had his moments, but overall, I support where the offense is today under his coaching.

So, you are saying that no team in the nation has a good coach,? Because I don't know of any starting QB who has not been sacked?

Let's just leave the players out of this thread, shall we?

Montana State IS what "they" think Montana is.

I've never been a proponent of firing anybody given my educational background as a teacher, coach and administrator combined with my military time. I do believe in after action reviews and performance reports after the fact. A good, honest evaluation is where growth occurs.

Hell, look at Steve Spurrier in Carolina versus his offense in Florida and he spent a great deal of time with the same group who ultimately came out of Northridge, San Jose State and on to Portland State and he went back to what will be anyone's choice if given the right personnel. We have a hard time accepting the injuries this staff struggled through this year and perhaps we can't quite accept our kids really need to get after the off season conditioning program and live in the film room. Coach said we're only missing a few ingredients to be among the truly elite of 1-AA and he'll get them there.

IMHO: Key ingredient number one would be BAILEY. The CATS are so close to being in the top five in the nation. If we had any amount of consistency on offense, we would be there. Maybe we were spoiled with Lulay, but not Bailey.

Bailey is just one Coach - blaming him for our offense without putting a share of the blame on our other "O" coaches as well as Kramer is just plain unfair. I also has issues with Bailey - I don't think he's disiplined enough in his approach. However, for the money (and I'm pretty sure his pay is lousy) he's a good coach and syncs well with Kramer.
