Was it just me was Andre Ware a great announcer for our game this past weekend. I thought he was great and had great insight into the game.

I thought they did a pretty good job. The one big thing that has been horrible in the past that they seemed to keep away from was constantly naming each player as a I-A dropdown from this or that school. I don't think I heard mention of people being dropdowns much at all.

I really enjoyed his commentary. Too many times, former players are just horrible at announcing because it's always "I would have done that" or "They should have done this" (Joe Theisman

)

No disrespect intended to Chris & Dan, who do a great job IMO, but it was fun to hear & watch a game run by the "pros".
Ware may have been a washout as a pro QB but I think he's got a decent career as a color commentator ahead of him...

I personally wasn't blown away. I thought they went off on tangents for too long and I don't think they gave enough credit to MSU. Their whole broadcast centered around App. State and there was little mention about the Cats and their traditions.

Well, we WERE #18, Appy is #1, defending champs, etc. I think the "over-exposure" on ASU was to be expected.

I understand, but it would have been nice to have any mention of our school at all. I didn't like the broadcast- I would have preferred to listen to Chris.

I think Andre Ware did a good job and it was great to hear how a good commentator works. I like Chris and Dan too and they do a great job on the radio. Also, I think Gary Thorne did a great job with the play-by-play and we were lucky to get such a great announcer. He's great for hockey and baseball too. But anyway, once in a while it's nice to see a good broadcast.

Absolutely. As far as play-by-play announcers go, Thorne's the best in the business. I couldn't figure out why he was doing this game, but it was fine by me. He always knows when to get excited. Some announcers start blathering over nothing, while others are just dull.
