HOW BOUT THAT NOISE TODAY!!! WHAT WAS OUR FINAL ATTENDANCE?

the house was packed and it was the loudest I have ever heard it....I think they said the attendence was 9138 or so but I could very well be off...but it was somewhere in that ballpark

I believe it was 9437. Not too bad for Thanksgiving weekend attendance. The awesome thing is how every person came to cheer and be a part of the game.

All I have to say is AMAZING! We rocked the house.

Even though our place wasn't as packed as it normaly is... It was definetly one of the loadest games our fans have put up all year!!!

Just from looking at all the people, I would have guessed 10k easily. There was definitely a lot more people there than all those other games where we had 14k phantom fans.

I don't know if you could hear us from here, but we were trying to add to the noise!

I agree. It look about as packed as any game. Tons more noise.

Still Hoarse Here! It was an awesome game and the crowd was great! The guys in front of us drove down from Hamilton and we drove from Billings and we made some noise! I should have taken a picture, someone from the Western side of the state that is a Bobcat Fan!

I can still barely talk... Great game.

Great way the 'Cats kept the crowd in the game! (or did we help keep Furman out of it?)

That was probably the loudest I have ever heard the crowd, except for a couple of Cat/Griz games. When Furman's QB was having trouble with the play in the first half, forcing him to take a timeout, the place was deafening.

Not only did we force him to take a timeout, they tried to audible again on the next play and were out of sync from the word go as we dropped them for a loss on 3rd down. Their coach was upset and I don't think they audibled again the rest of the game.

That was easily the loudest game I have ever been to at Bobcat Stadium. That place was rockin. There was about two minutes straight of loud, earthshakin' noise with the blocked punt, fumble, and Jefferson TD. It was amazing. I thought the attendence numbers had to have been way off. It looked full on the booster side but I heard there were empty seats on the student side. It was packed on the 50 and I couldn't see any openings.

Does anyone think that the fact that stadium music wasn't allowed helped contribute to the crowd being more vocal? I know there were many other reasons for the crowd to cheer, but someone pointed out to me that with no music the crowd really filled the gaps with noise. I say if that is one of the factors we should stop playing in game music because the crowd can more than fill the gaps.

That could be, but I really did miss the cannon.

And what was up with the PA guy.

On the one hand he did the First Down BOBCATS thing....

On the other hand he sounded absolutely bored with everything even when the Cats had big plays.

I told my kids that maybe the NCAA insisted on as un-biased a presentation as possible but.....he did the first down thing.

Anyone know?

Im not sure if this is correct but I heard that the NCAA takes about 75% of all gate reciepts so teams often under report attendance to save some money for themselves. Not sure if its true but its a good idea.

We would never do that and I don't think we did, but I'm sure they do that regularly a couple hundred miles west of us--check out their crowds every year during the regular season and then during the playoffs

I didn't even realize they didn't play the jock-rock until I read this post. So I guess I didn't miss it...at all. The cannon was missed however.

As for the PA guy. I read on the AGS board that they are not allowed to show bias. He said first down much quicker than he usually does-and it actually works better if you ask me.

Kudos to the hearty band members who played. They were small in number but did a great job.
