Does anyone find Jeremy Jorgenson commentating annoying?

Why does KPAX keep Jeremy around? His commentating sucks. After someone made a play it seemed he said the name of the player and what city they were from. After hearing for the third or fourth time where a certain player was from, we decided to make it a drinking game whenever he said where someone was from. Is this his schtick or is he uncreative genius???

I'll admit, he's annoying. Just a little worse than your radio guy. Dean Alexander was the man, wish he was still over there.

I emailed JJ a few weeks ago and told him, basically that he better get all the kids' names right. He replied that he does study them both and tries to get them right. I can applaud him for the effort.

I STILL THINK HE SUCKS THOUGH.

His commentating may not be the best, but he at least takes a Real interest in Griz sports & does a much better job than the other station out here at keeping the Griz fans up todate on what's going on. KPAX has had a pretty long line of sports commentators & sportscasters who were good I thought. Brian Salmond, Greyson Davis, and Tom Katz...(I'm sure there are others I'm missing, and I'm sure I mispelled some names) I'm Really glad that KPAX seems to hire sportscasters who do actually follow some sports...unlike KECI.

It was about two years ago (maybe 3) when KECI's sportscaster broke the news that Idaho was leaving the Big Sky Conference. Imagine how shocked I was to hear that news somewhere around 2004. I mean all these years I had thought that Idaho had left the Big Sky Conference back in the mid 90's...but I guess I was wrong because KECI said so... Either that, or news of Idaho leaving the Big Sky was just lost under an enormous pile of VNRs and found 8 years later

That wasn't even some temporary sports caster filling in for the night either..that was the main sports guy on KECI at that time (can't remember his name). Crap like that happens it seems every year at KECI, and you can really tell after a while that none of them are in any way interested in Griz football, or any sports for that matter. They are just teleprompter jockies, and the people looking up the information for them to read have no clue what's going on either

Just my 2 cents... oh and did you hear? Idaho just left the Big Sky! I hear Boise State may also leave!

in watching griz games this year, jj is a total homer and i was expecting the worst for the Cat/griz game. i have to say that i thought he did a very decent job at Cat/griz. he was even sorta funny when the tennis ball came out.

brady bennett on the other hand (who normally calls a very good game and is typically unbiased), was a let down. all he did was complain about jefferson and made sure to say "griz/Cat" several times. so unlike his other broadcasts.

Jorgenson did his usuall "and the griz get a tough spot" and "the cats with a generous spot get the first."

The most absurd thing was a few minutes into the second quater Daly made a solo tackle and he says "and that the first time we get to mention Daly's name." Even though he was in on probabely 1/3 of all defensive plays.

Here's an idea, when you are interviewing someone try actually framing a question rather than making a statement hoping the person being interviewed will agree. (after the regular 3 seconds of awkward silence.)

He just sucks.

I got a little sick of hearing where every grizzly player was from over and over again (okay we get the point you know everything there is to know about every grizzly player).

But as far as homer griz announcers are concerned he's not the worst we've had to endure.

I have been saying that in many different posts. Agree 100%. He was especially embarrassing during one playoff game I don't remember which one, but it was at wagriz and griz lost. The comments he made to the nation were awful. Whine, complain, etc.

Greyson Davis? What a joke. I have to agree with GOKATS. There are sports announcers and there are griz fans behind the microphone. All he did was tell the listeners what calls the refs missed or that they were bad calls. Hopefully he moved over to silent radio.

He went to North Carolina (news14.com?) and it looks like was doing sports for them out there, interviewing Duke BB players, coaches, etc etc. I'm not sure where he is now though. Couldn't find anything by him on their site since back in March of 2005.

And of course he was a griz fan behind the microphone! Which is why many Griz fans liked him, and it sounds like most cat fans hated him

I don't know if I completely agree with you. Sure if you were playing us, we would find as much as fault with him as we could. But when you were playing (?) team in a playoff game and at the end all he did was whine, no kidding, whine, about the reffing and how unfair the whole game was, I was embarrassed to be from Montana.

It took until the end of the 1st quarter to get really annoyed with him and come up with the game. If the Cat game isn't going to be tv at least we have ol' Jeremy to keep us entertained drinking our cheap beer.

I especially liked how jj would mention that every griz player was "one of the best in the nation" after each play.

"oh, nice tackle by (insert name), one of the best DL's in the country"

"oh, nice catch by (insert name), he's one of the best in the country"

or my personal favorite: each time he talks about JD Quinn, he refers to him as "future NFL talent, JD Quinn" did this and this and that.

I think that Chuck Norris will make a FOOL of JD Quinn

Why would we need any yeah buts. We won, we are the #2 seed and will host 3 rounds. Good luck against Furman, hope you win. I am surprised the Cats got in, and very surprised you are hosting, but once the playoffs start, I want to see ALL BSC teams dominate. We are the best Conference in 1-AA!!!
