BRING THE NOISE

The last few weeks we have been making an effort to get louder and louder, well now the time is come to show Furman why we are hosting the game and what kind of crowd backs the Cats.
Get your thundersticks and your cowbells, let's make some NOISE. I have a cowbell that is LOUD that will make it's first ever appearance in Bobcat Stadium. I have to do something since I don't know if my voice will come back this week or not, yesterday was rough on the vocal cords.
Do what you can do and bring the NOISE. I am posting this today so you have all week to gather everything you can.

Wow...thundersticks and cowbells! I havn't heard those at a college football game in quite a while, since the SoCon banned artificial noisemakers recently.

It seems like years ago the Griz used to have noisemakers made out of old milk jugs and gravel scattered throughout the stadium, but were told by the NCAA that artifical noisemakers are illegal for post season play. As far as I know, the Big Sky doesn't have that rule for regular season games, but someone may want to look into the noismaker policy in the postseason.

I agree when it's only 500 at the game. But, I do know someone who has 5000 left still. That may make some noise if they were all being used at one time!

Thanks for pointing this out. I have been digging through NCAA rulebooks online and found this:
Artificial Noisemakers. Artificial noisemakers, air horns and electronic amplifiers shall not be permitted, and such instruments shall be removed from the playing and spectator areas. Bands, or any component thereof, shall not play while the game is in progress. The tournament manager shall be responsible for enforcing these provisions.

Can someone confirm that they won't let us bring Thundersticks and/or cowbells into the stadium?

I've got a call in to Bill Lamberty to find out. I need to know whether or not to bring the "Thunder".

The milk jugs and gravel were used by both sides during the Centerville-Wibaux championship game on Saturday......lets not do those!
That was a great game, congrats to C'ville.

OK, the official word is no artificial noise makers are allowed by the NCAA in post season play.
So, leave the items at home and start yelling in the car while you're driving to get those voices some extra practices in preparation for this Saturday.

Lets bring the terrible towels to bozeman, 14,000 fans twiriling white fans around and stomping and screaming can be an overwhelming scene. Those poor southern boys won't know what to do. Is there any word on those being illegal?

No offense, but having played at App State and at GSU (two schools with great fan bases), I don't think we will be intimidated.

I love that idea!! Any chance we can get something like that on such short notice? Even if they didn't have anything printed on them (which is the part that would take so much time), if we could 10,000 gold or blue towels waiving, especially in the end zone, wouldn't that just be awesome. I bought 4 pairs of thundersticks - I am willing to pony up some $$ for terrible towels!

Don't forget about road games, we got the crowd roaring at Idaho State.
