CRAZY CAT:
I'm sorry. But you have to play an entire season. Every game counts. There is no "off" weekend. How can you lose to:
Division II Chadron State at home.
UC Davis by 45-0 at home.
Lowly Eastern Washington at home.
And still make the playoffs ahead of Portland State.
PSU had a I-A win and suffered 2 I-A losses ON THE ROAD.
PSU power ranking far greater than MSU.
PSU season over and Cats still play. Nothing but Stunning.
Fullerton's job will be short-lived after this stunning fiasco.

Losses don't count DA, we were both 7-4 with 7 D1 wins and we beat them. Stunning? In what way? Should getting clocked by both Cal and Oregon really mean anything?Air_Griz wrote:CRAZY CAT:

PSU's athletic department kissed the playoffs goodbye when they scheduled 3 I-A games. I feel bad for their kids.

Should 3 consecutive BAD LOSSES AT HOME COUNT FOR ANYTHING?

Apparently not as much as the fact that MSU beat PSU.Air_Griz wrote:PDXKat wrote:Losses don't count DA, we were both 7-4 with 7 D1 wins and we beat them. Stunning? In what way? Should getting clocked by both Cal and Oregon really mean anything?Air_Griz wrote:CRAZY CAT:

I could see somebody from PSU being this pissy about MSU getting in (although I personally would NEVER bitch about a team with the same record that beat my team getting the nod over mine, but I have this strange respect for head-to-head results that some apparently don't), but assuming you are a Montanan ... isn't two Montana teams in the playoffs a good thing?
Or are you only concerned about having more smack material?

Air Griz: You wouldn't be one of these Griz fans that thought all MSU cared about was beating UM?
If not, that little bit of BS has come back to my mind anyway. Looks like all those that were throwing line of BS around for the last year can now 'shut-the-hell-up.'
This board set a record for most fans logged on at one time after the playoff announcement...that's right more than after any of our Cat-Griz wins. That should tell you something.
We beat you, you claim all we care about is beating you.
We lose to you, but make the playoffs and someone was robbed. Get over yourselves.
A lot of folks around here think WE were robbed after we beat you last year and finished ahead of you in the conf. standings (using tiebreaker) only to see you guys go and get waxed in the first round at home.
Nevertheless good luck vs. McNeese State.

He's a hater, nothing else - can't stand to see the Cats have any success.PDXKat wrote:Losses don't count DA, we were both 7-4 with 7 D1 wins and we beat them. Stunning? In what way? Should getting clocked by both Cal and Oregon really mean anything?Air_Griz wrote:CRAZY CAT:

I will point out again to you Airhead_Griz, THE CATS WON THE HEAD TO HEAD MATCHUP. You conveniently leave that out of your flawed analysis.
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

crazycat-you-da-man. The rest of us were scoffers-but we're scoffers no more.
I was dragging this morning. I was depressed.
My daughter was in a cheerleading competition at Shroyer Gym. We got to the ticket booth a little after noon. Just as we paid our ticket some kid runs up to the box office to ask about tickets to the playoffs. My wife and I looked at each other. What was he talking about-playoffs? So I thought-well maybe we made it to the playoffs and the kid was inquiring about tickets for the away game. Nah, must be something else.
My wife asks an MSU cheerleader nearby-and was told we are in the playoffs and we are hosting Furman! I swear I almost cried. I couldn't believe it. I suddenly had a spring in my step that wasn't there a minute ago.
I'm sure there are those who question our worthyness. That's fair. To be perfectly honest, if the tables were turned and PSU had beaten us head-to-head I would have thought them more worthy. Head to head makes all the difference.
This is an incredible opportunity, but our work is cut out for us. Furman is a stout opponent, and Thanksgiving weekend is a tough one to sell tickets. We need everybody to get to this game. Postpone that wedding, put off grandma's funeral, you can go see Aunt Mabel some other time. Get to the game! If you own a business and you're open on Saturday, close it up and ask your employees and customers to go to the game. Downtown Bozeman should look like that scene in the movie Friday Night Lights, "closed-gone to the football game"!
