superstition's
Ok I am very super superstitious when it comes to big games, wondered if any else had a good superstition to post. Mine is doing the same things before each game when we win.
I posted this right before the Colorado game and that work out ok for us. So hear we go again. Slightly updated
PS = If were down in the first quarter I am driving to Big Fork where I listened to the Colorado game and parking in the same parking spot
Yeah its corny but damn it the Cat/Griz and its way better than christmas in my book.
Twas the night before the Brawl
Twas the night before the Brawl, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse,
The team colors were hung by the bar light with care,
In hopes that a conference championship would soon be there.
The team was nestled all snug in their bed,
While visions of Flyovers danced in their heads,
With Kramer and his headset, and me in my cap,
We Had just settled our brains for a long second half...
When up on the plasma there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the barka to see what was the matter.
Away to the television I flew like a flash,
Evin Groves had shuttered and went on an 80 yard dash.
The Boom of the cannon about the newly lit score
Let me know that of a loss was no more,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But Bobby Daly, and a 4-3 nightmare,
With a receiver core, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be Rolovich.
More rapid than grizzlies the defense they came,
The ref whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
"Now, Andre! now, Epi! now Bobo and Clive!
On, Brandon! on Aaron! on, Chris* and Ryan!
To the top of the Standings! to the top of the League!
Now dash away! dash away! Across the Divide!"
As once again it time for the Brawl in the Wild.

Great Poem Bulldog!
I was so inspired after the big game in 2002, after so many years of frustration, that I wrote this little poem on the ride home from the game. I thought I would share it with you all:
Twas a month before Christmas and all through the land
All the Cats and Griz were awaiting the big game at hand.
The spectators were bundled up, both the young and the old
In hopes of insulating themselves from the bitter cold.
The cocky Grizzlies were tucked all snug in their dens
While visions of Big Sky Championships danced in their heads.
With the Cats looking confident and the Griz looking lame
Everyone settled in for this brawl of a game.
When out on the field there arose such a clatter
Monte the flea bag sprang from his Harley to see what was the matter.
When what to the Grizzlies' amazement soon would be seen
But a coach named Kramer and the rest of his team.
With a Freshman Q.B. who was finding his way
They knew in a moment it must be Lulay.
More rapid than eagles his teammates they came
And he whistled and shouted and called them by name:
Now Johnson, now Adams, now Montoya and Wulf!
On Ione, on Cordiero, on Cooper and Cook!
To the 40, to the 30, to the 20 and more
To the 10, to the end zone, how we will score!
So down the field the Bobcats they flew
With a play book full of runs, and some timely passes too.
As the spectators peered through the freezing snow and rain
They saw the clawing and scratching of the Bobcat ground game.
Then the Cat's spread the field and Lulay looked around
And down the field Junior Adams came with a bound.
He was dressed all in white with touches of Navy and Gold
And his clothes were all tarnished with ice and with snow.
Junior was fleet of foot and the Griz defense was wary
And he looked like a comet as he burned the secondary.
Lulay saw this and his eyes got wide -
Of course, he hit his receiver in stride.
Adams hauled in the pass and raced in for the score
After that touchdown, the Bobcats would need no more.
The Cat defense was stellar, the offense was tough
For Johnny Edwards, the day was quite rough.
He complained about his shoulder, he complained about the weather,
But he could do nothing, the Cats were just better.
And Ryan Johnson, that Cat churned up the yards
Making sure a Grizzly victory was not in the cards.
When the dust had settled, on the Griz Vision screen would appear
A final score of 10 - 7, with the mighty Griz in the rear.
Coach Kramer liked what he saw, the Grizzlies did not,
Oh well, now they can go back to smoking their pot.
The Bobcat coach had a big smile, bald head and round belly
Coach Glenn and his boys were nothing but jelly.
Poor "Johnny Montana" oh how he cried,
After the game, he ran home to hide.
But Lulay was smiling as well he should be
Maybe now his team would get the respect they deserve (maybe even get to play on TV.)
We heard him exclaim as he roared out of sight
"Big Sky Champs to the Cats - to the Grizzlies, good night!"

This may seem silly but at the Portland State game I noticed a direct corruilation between my sobriety and the bobcats winning. I was sober for Colorado State and NAU, but at the home games before Portland I tailgated it up and was drinking pretty heavy. Since that moment of appifany I've been 100 percent sober and the trend has continued. So here's to an exciting bobcat win and a sober frame of mind on the 18

I don't watch the griz when they are on TV. They can be urinating and deficating down their leg in the worst way until I turn on the tube then they turn into the best team ever so I just do not watch cat/you-know-who when the game is not in Bozeman.
The same thing applies to radio, I just do something else till about 5:00 p.m.

Great posts guys, I may have to hang those up at work.
I am not superstitious and the cats need not be either. We are a better team. I just hope that our special teams don't get us in too deep of a hole.

Okay, call me crazy but I am doing my one sided bet again this year. Since I never win any sports bets, I put it to good use in 2002 by picking a Griz fan and saying "If the Cats win I owe you 50.00". They won and it worked. This year I have to raise the stakes so one lucky Griz fan at work here is going to receive $75 on Monday
Dumb yes, but it works on dUMb

I wore the same pair of blue and gold plaid boxers to the only two games I have seen in person: at Idaho State and the home game with Weber State and the Cats won both - so am wearing the same boxers on Saturday to watch game at satellite party!! (I had to do laundry to make sure they were clean!!) only dUMb folks wear dirty boxers!!!
Bobcat born, Bobcat bred, unfortunately not a Bobcat alum, but gonna be a Bobcat fan until I'm dead!
