We are playing Utah Valley State tonight and according to the Great Falls Trib. Taylor is out after a concusion. The Starting line up will be Durham, Rush, Dissly, Johnson, and Morris.
No idea who might redshirt.

The game is on the radio tonight at 7 pm on the basketball part of the radio network, so I'll be listening. I've heard (from the Chronicle) that Utah Valley State is a frustrating place to play for opposing teams. The last time the Cats went down there, I remember Dissly scoring just one basket, and it was credited to him because the opposing player tipped it in and Dissly was the closest Bobcat. Also, Mick Durham got whistled for a technical foul in that game. How often did that happen? Not very often at all. The Chronicle also said the officiating has been questionable over the years in Orem. So this game could be a nice win for the Bobcats, provided they can handle everything that could be involved in this game.

I think basketball games are usually on in Helena...after looking at msubobcats.com, I found Helena's affiliate as KTMX 950 AM. Try that station tonight at 7.

Does redshirting just apply to not playing all season? Or can the players play in non-conference games and will the redshirt apply just to conference games? Someone mentioned to me that in football, redshirts could play in non-conferene games but would not be allowed to play in conference games. I don't know if football and bball are different or what, just looking for some clarification.
On a side note, it is awesome to see Ted back in the lineup. He is a valuable asset.

Anyone else listening tonight AND online?
Not much of a start so far. 17-4 and we have way more TO's than points.

I hear that Desin is now in. I guess he won't be redshirting then if you can play in non-conference games?

That was ugly. It seemed like nothing could go right for the Bobcats, and let's just put this one in the books and look forward to Monday night's game against UC-Santa Barbara.

A buddy of mine who lives in Utah just called me on his way out of the gym and said it was the ugliest thing he has ever seen. His exact quote was "I hope Huse has a backup career plan". Not a good beginning to get a serious beatdown by Utah Valley State Girls School Junior Varsity 2nd Team.

Welcome to D-1 basketball boys (barely D-1 at that).
Most of our team is so new they have a hard time finding the MSU Fieldhouse in Bozeman let alone Orem, Utah.
Scott Mansch said the other day on The Sports Nuts that every MSU basketball win this season will be a win to savor. I agree-they might be a bit few and far between. I think they will get better, but we're a player or two away.
We get Utah Valley at our place on December 16. It will interesting to see how much we improve in a month.
I say Huse gets a pass for this season-like Binford did last year for the women. Enjoy the process and know there are better things to come.

37 points wow!!

We do need to see improvement from year to year, but this should be at least a three-year trek. I did ask for this change so I am willing to see it through. This may be a long season.
