Yes. You can order it right now if you want.

Ok, I am a little behind on what ESPN gameplan does for you. 3 questions...

1. Can you order one game for the year or do you have to subscribe to a package.

2. Is it broadcast in high definintion?? I love watching football on espn HD.

3. What are the costs??

Thanks in advance for any info.

In the past it has always been on fox sports rocky mountain, but I haven't been able to get that option confirmed.

It looks to me you can currently order the 'online' version right now; but for Dish or Direct TV the schedules aren't out yet. I don't know the correlation between televised and online versions; but I would think there is a pretty high chance if it's already scheduled for the on line version it would be televised.
To order the televised version it appears you just go through your satelites PPV ordering process.

I sent an email to ESPN's member services regarding the availability on the TV version of GamePlan, as it appears right now that only the online version is available. I'll let everyone know as soon as I hear something (hopefully they'll get back to me right away).

It probably wouldn't hurt if others emailed them with the same question. Maybe a little supply/demand will help our cause...

ya you can buy just one game. I have the whole package and it was about 100 bucks.....if anyone is thinking of getting it next year DONT!! It is a waste of money, but i guess because of CAT griz game it makes it worth it. It might be in high def, but all of them i have watched werent. Plus i hope they dont blackout the game like they do every other regional game. Basically if you live in a region that the game is showing it may or may not be blacked out. They do this because it "should" be on your local channels but never is.. :x . Maybe and hopefully this game will be different.

I've been getting GamePlan for a few years, now, and this year was a big step down in quality from last season. The blackout areas seem a lot bigger and the overall number of game broadcasts seems to have dropped. I hope they get back on track next year.

As far as it being on HD, well they're basically just be picking up the KPAX feed, so I seriously doubt it will be in HD. We'll be lucky if they have their hand-me-down cameras calibrated correctly. All the while we get to listen to Kermit the Frog Jorgenson butcher the game.

Well, ESPN member services was absolutely no help. Told me to contact my local cable provider for the GamePlan schedule. In other words, looks like I'm hosed for the cable version and have to get the online version. Gives me a good excuse to borrow the projector from work and put Cat/Griz on my entire wall via the laptop...

That was my plan, but I decided to have a party at my place instead. We'll have about 20 of our friends there who graduated from App State (no ASU game that day) who will be honorary Bobcat Fans for the day. Actually, they're Bobcat fans all year (except when we play the Mountaineers in Chatty in about 6 weeks). App Nation will be sending some good karma the Cats' way...

Any new updates? Is the game only going to be available on ESPN Gameplan via the internet or will it be picked up anywhere on DirecTV or something like that?

Thanks

I have a call into 3 Rivers (Montana DirecTV) to see if the game will be on satellite. I'll pick it up on the antenna, but have a son in N. CA who is bugging me to find out. As soon as I hear back from them, I'll pass it on.

Does ESPN game plan just pick up the local feed?

Spoke with local (Charlotte) Time Warner - as that's what ESPN told me to do - and the TV GamePlan schedule isn't released until the Wednesday prior to the game. GamePlan website seems to bear that out. MSU/UM is still listed, but only as "Order for Online" streaming. Good sign is that it's the only game listed for 11/18. In other words, stay tuned...

We called Dish Network over the weekend, and they said that Dish Network's ESPN Gameplan games will not be finalized until Friday afternoon.
That's poor planning........but it is what it is.

This is what I received from 3 Rivers Communications- DirecTV. I was told on the phone that the game will be available, but details won't be known for a couple days (which would jive with what you were told about no schedule until Wed).

About the Broadcast: The Cat/Griz football game will be televised state-wide by KPAX and affiliates (CBS) in Montana. For out-of-state, there are the three ways the Cat/Griz game Nov. 18 can be viewed:

ESPN Game Plan. http://proxy.espn.go.com/ncf/gameplan/index. The ESPN Game Plan is a package that offers college football games all day Saturday and is purchased through DirecTV, DISH, or local cable.

Digital Satellite. The game will be on the Digital Satellite system, which a venue can bring in only if they have a digital m-peg 2 receiver. For the satellite coordinates of the Cat/Griz game, UM will host this information on line at www.montanagrizzlies.com but coordinates will not be available until the week of the game.

Video Streaming –Through the internet and there are two ways to view the game by video streaming:
The Big Sky Conference offers video streaming on a per game basis: http://www.bigskytv.org/ This is a terrific technology move for the Big Sky Conference; contact them directly with any questions or concerns you might have.

The ESPN Game Plan on-line viewing, available in a weekly subscription : http://proxy.espn.go.com/ncf/gameplan/index.

does that mean we can order just that one game for that one day off of gameplan? like ordering a movie off of pay per view?

i always thought FSN Northwest carried the game, they must not be this year

I called direct tv and they said Fox sports NW will not know until wed at the earliest, and maybe as late as friday afternoon. She did add that they have carried the game the last 3 years, fo rwhat ever that is worth???
