I noticed Claggett limping off at the end of the very first Defensive series, and did not notice him in the rest of the game.
Does anyone know if he's injured? If so, how severe?

He sprained his knee and according to Kramer is out until the National Championship game.

It was a weird paragraph to read at the very end of yesterday's write up in the Chronicle.

It was reported that Claggett sprained his knee and is out for six week. And then Kramer said something like "So, he'll be gone until the National Championship game".

I know some don't get his comments sometimes. But, this one absolutely slayed me.

It was a quote in Sunday's paper just saying that he would be unavailable until that game. That is this teams' goal and I like the optimism, but yes a very bold statement.

Who is Will's backup? Retori...? Give him an Advil a Cortisone shot and tell him to get out there on the field with the griz.

INJURY REPORT: LB Will Claggett suffered a sprained knee, and is essentially lost for the season. WR Deon Toliver (collar bone) is also out for the season. QB Cory Carpenter (ankle) held for placements, and is expected to be available for Montana. Other than that, “The list is long, but everyone should be a go” for Grizzly week, Mike Kramer said.

I will expect to see Mathews and Fletch sharing time.

I would love to see him in on some plays from scrimmage. Did anyone else catch his facial expression in the picture of him and Taito making a tackle on kickoff? INTENSE!!!!

Kramer's goal is to win the national championship this year, and I believe that he believes he has a team that can do it. I thought his statement was pretty funny - and if you noticed... he didn't necessarily say that we would be playing in the nat'l championship... he just said that it would be the earliest he would be available!
