Let's have some fun part V

Post by Platinumcat » Wed Oct 25, 2006 9:08 pm

Well, here we are again. Another Wednesday and it's time to put some questions down.

1) Which has more yards this week? The run game or the pass game?
-unfair question with Jack at the helm. I think both will do well. But, he just stretches the field too well. So, the offense will get 335 yds passing and 215 yards of rushing.

2) Who steps up with a big individual effort this week?
- I have to go with two players here. I think Evin comes back and treats us to quite a howdy-do! I also think that Jefferson, Wheaton, and Tolliver will have solid games. But, Weber will be so concerned about our ability to score on the big play that the middle passes will be available to.....Barnhart. Yep, I'm calling for Elliott to have a 10+ catch game.

3) What will be the longest play from scrimmage this week?
- 65 yard run by Evin.

4) Any new gadget plays this week?
- Not much of a gadget, but I think we see a reverse play on kickoff return.

5) Will the defense allow 100 yards rushing for the first time in several games?
- No, see my answer on number 6

6) What does the defense need to gameplan for more? The pass or the rush?
- Surely some run will be there. But, I think with Pizarro (sp?) back and the fact that we've been so tough on run D, and they're playing their third string running back, they'll go to the air. Again, this goes against what Kramer talked about in that they will try to grind out the game in order to keep our offense off the field. But, I've already told you all that I'm no longer of sound mind. :)

7) Who treats us with the bon-jarring play this week?
- QB rolls out and Clive sends him back to his JV days in high school. Mom? Can I have the car this week?

8) How many sacks?
- 4, three in the first half and one in the second. Piz gets happy feet and starts throwing it away and/or quick passes.

9) Will the stadium be a yellow sea of thundersticks being waved by wildly crazy fans?
- FNA!!!!!!!

ok, ok,....I'll do one.

#4 - Jefferson will throw a pass this week. If complete it goes for big yards possibly a TD.

Have you heard Kramer talk about this? He says it's coming sometime between now and the end of the season. I thought about it for this weekend, but chose to go a different direction.

It's coming, but I doubt if it'll be this weekend, but it could be a test run. :D

Oh how I look forward to this post each and every week Wiers. When I return from lunch I shall leave my expert opinion (I always knew I should be on ESPN or something like that).

I'm not joking Wiers...I love this thread!!!

1) I don't think our run game can match the fire power of our passing game. I think Rolo needs to get used to our domed field though and make things happen up field. Pass 285 Run 180.

2) I really think Jefferson stays hot, but not on fire. I think we still do work on that end around, but that will open things up more for Mase and Groves because of the threat Jefferson poses. I too like Elliot to be big. He'll have 1 TD and probably 8 other catches...my guess is about 65-70yds receiving. Our deep threat opens up that shorter stuff on check downs.

3) Mason will take the ball on the fake end around off the left side for 35yds...that's our run. I see Wheaton getting one over the middle for about 50 and a TD.

4) I think our gadget this week will be a roll-out punt...or even more of a gadget...a true punt (sorry I just have to get one shot in at our punting game each week).

5) I think our D will be amped and hold them to under 50yds rushing. They'll give up about 180-200 in the air, but most of it at the end of the game.

6) Wiers I think you have been using your head to test those sweet thundersticks. I think they will keep it on the ground and not get much and have to open it up in the 2nd half to catch up.

7) Each week I go with Clagett on this one because I like his workmanlike attitude and he is just consistent. Big Willie Style all over a wide receiver across the middle.

8) 5 sacks this week...we are bringing the house at them and with how raucus the crowd will be their O-Line won't be able to communicate well and pick up the blitz.

9) I frickin' hope so. Wiers save me a pair as I won't be at either of these last two games.

Halftime MSU 17, Weiner State 7
Game MSU 31, the dong 10

GO CATS!!!

Oh how I would love to see that gadget play...run, catch, pass for a TD...now he just needs to punt...ok my last spoof on the punting until next week!!!

1. More passing yards than rushing. 325 passing, 185 rushing.

2. Wheaton breaks out tomorrow. 6 catches for 130 and two scores.

3. Rolo to Wheaton for 57. Touchdown Bobcats!!!!!!!

4. Rolo throws a lateral to Jefferson, who hesitates like he's looking to throw downfield. No, it's the lateral to fake-pass statue of liberty! As the defense peels back into pass coverage, half of them falling over their own feet knowing that Mr. Everything can throw the deep ball, Tolliver circles around from the near sideline and takes a sweet handoff, beating the defense to the opposite sideling and sprinting for a 38 yard gain.

5. Nope, nope, nope. 81 total yards on the ground for the Mildcats.

6. If you expect the run, they'll pass. Be ready for it.

7. A very odd thing happens on Saturday, as a Weber State receiver running a crossing pattern is hit so hard by Mr. Force that there's an actual tear in the fabric of space and time and the aforementioned receiver is physically knocked into the year 1922. Tragedy (and the end of the world) is averted when Chuck Norris ambles over from the sidelines and seals the tear with his bare hands.

8. 6 sacks, 3 in the first quarter as we overwhelm them early and then scramble to hold onto the lead. Cats still end up on top by 2 touchdowns.

9. THUNDER!!!!!!!
