Lulay Back With Seahawks
Chris Attabarry just reported that Travis Lulay is back with the Seahawks. This is outstanding. Lets hope he gets a chance to show em what he's got.

Okay, so first let me say I think this is awesome and congratulations to Travis!
Now on to the selfish side of me. Does this affect the Cats at all? I know Travis has been here helping out and has been up in the booth with Bailey most of the season. I have got to think that it has been a big help having Travis up there watching the plays unfold and seeing where the defenses were vulnerable.
Good luck to you Travis, show em what you're made of!

Nothing on the NFL wire yet, but it usually takes a while. I did see this quote from Holmgren last night.
"Holmgren said the Seahawks are considering signing a veteran,
free-agent quarterback to back up Wallace until Hasselbeck returns."
That is good news that they don't have a lot of faith in the third stringer so hopefully Travis will get his chance. How much does someone get paid for playing for a couple weeks?

275K (rookie minimum)/17=16,176 a week. But that is if he is on the active roster. If he is on prac. squad its 4K a week.rtb wrote:Nothing on the NFL wire yet, but it usually takes a while. I did see this quote from Holmgren last night.

Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

Either way can you imagine. You are sitting in class on Monday trying to finish your degree and if you are lucky you will make 40-50K a year when you graduate. On Monday night you get a call that at minimum you will get 4K a week for playing a game. Crazy!badasscat wrote:275K (rookie minimum)/17=16,176 a week. But that is if he is on the active roster. Sweet! I was just on the Seahawks site searching for this and could not find anything. Good luck Travis! Show 'em what you've got!

I bet they are totally bummed out that Jeff George has already been signed!rtb wrote:Nothing on the NFL wire yet, but it usually takes a while. I did see this quote from Holmgren last night.

It was mentioned at the CC this morning that Travis is out there today for a tryout, along with a veteran. He will know this afternoon if he's selected. If not, he'll be back here tomorrow.
Good luck Travis! I love you helping with the team, but I'm really pulling for you to be able to stay out there.

I would love to see Trav suiting up but playing time will not be in his future. Holmgren is very finicky about his quarterbacks. I say we should be thankful that Travis is getting another shot because that means he has done something right by Holmgren. I also don't think Wallace will do that bad. I love his legs!Bleedinbluengold wrote:Well, Seneca Wallace is going to just be awful, I think, and I think Travis will get a shot at some playing time.
Thanks for the update on EJ...Prof!!!
