The Medical Team carted off one of ISU's D Tackles (I think it was in the 3rd quarter).
At the time, it didn't look good at all.
Does anyone have a report on how the kid is? What is the injury? Is he alrights? etc.?

I checked out the Idaho State web site this morning and there was no mention of the injury. Hopefully no news is good news.

I read the local paper when I was eating breakfast the next morning at the the hotel. No mention so probably nothing serious.

The ISU board now says that he pinched his nerve in practice early last week and it got worse during the game. When he left the field, he had numbness in his legs which has now gone away.
It is being said that he probably won't practice this week but is probable for next week.
I'm very happy to hear this as everyone I was viewing the game with kept looking for motion and never saw any from his legs.
Here's to a speedy recovery for that young man.

Here is hoping that it is just a pinched nerve and not a stenosis of the spinal column.

Last night on Larry Lewis's show, he said the kid was back at team meetings yesterday but pretty sore. He should be fine.

Thanks for the kind thoughts MSU fans! He will be fine. Our #6 receiver got hurt. ACL I think. I hope it is not that bad but you never know.

That's too bad. Would like to see you at full strenght offensively this weekend.

I have a question for the ISU people on the board: do injuries like this make you want to consider field turf? I'm curious to know what you think.
And, I'm extremely glad that the player (I don't remember his name, sorry) is doing all right. I heard the story on the radio about the player paralyzed in 1999 on a similar play and I hoped this wouldn't be the case again.

Viliami Akoteu is his name. And it does sound like he will be okay. Marcus Jackson was the one that got hurt in 99? Sad deal. About the turf thing? We just want a winning tradition and a guy that can coach before we start wanting more. I heard field turf wouldn't be good because they are constantly taking it up and down? I hope we can put the smack on Montana but I really doubt it because we will find a way to choke. We will do our darndest though. We will try to make the road for you easier. Good Luck!

Thanks, Bengal00!
I wish your Bengals good luck with your game this weekend. I heard the Marcus Jackson story and could only imagine what kind of moment it was when he came back on the field after he finished his degree. ISU fans are good people and deserve a good football team.
