Money For Noise Makers?
Maybe we, as a Bobcat Nation, should all pledge a few bucks and give the noise makers for free. Maybe have Bobcat Nation printed on them? Good or bad?

Try Big Look. They did the free ones for the Icedogs the past few years.Cat Gal wrote:Good. Where do you order them? Could we get them by Saturday?
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

I would hate to see someone get stuck with a big bill even though we at bobcat nation would do our part to help out. I think we cooridate with the MSU paper, Bozeman Chronicle, spirit squad and get the word out via publications/flyers etc, for people to bring noisemakers themselves, ie cowbells, keys, rocks in plastic jugs, thunder sticks, Christmas jingle bells, etc.

sorry but I disagree. Noise, whether artificial or not is great... sometimes annoying but still great.Cat Pride wrote:![]()
I dont like the idea... sorry, but I think our fans are better than that. We dont need to stoop to artificial noise makers. Cat fans make plenty of noise with our feet, hands and voices!
Football is not a game but a religion, a metaphysical island of fundamental truth in a highly verbalized, disguised society, a throwback of 30,000 generations of anthropological time. ~Arnold Mandell

True, any noise is good noise, but I think thundersticks or poker chips in a milk jug are bush league. And I dont think we need them! Our fans generate enough noise that noise makers wouldnt add anything significant.grzh8r wrote:sorry but I disagree. ........but a 1000 cowbells plus the fan noise would sure get their heads spinning.Cat Pride wrote:True, any noise is good noise, but I think thundersticks or poker chips in a milk jug are bush league. probably needs to happen for another game.
the deadline for getting the stix here by Friday is 3:00 today.
I did just talk with Bill Lamberty at MSU as he was willing to check into some things for me. He did come back to say that we would have the green light on something like this. Both from a supplying and selling stand point. Also, he thought as long as you didn't use the University's logo, we would be fine (but perhaps it's an NCAA thing more then a university thing?) as to what we could have printed on them.
Here's what to know if we should ever decide to do this. Big Look was slightly more then an online place I looked into. But, both were roughly $1.02-5 landed per pair; this is for an order of 6000 pairs. I think the cost would be slightly less if we had a larger lead time.
I definitely say we do this for one of the first home games next year. There may be some who think it's hokey. But, just think of how cool the sea of waving yellow would be during that game.

I posted this on the other thread about noise makers, but might be a good individual thing to do.
I may have joked about Cowbell earlier, but now I am serious. I attended Mississippi State before Montana State and there is nothing louder than 10000 cow bells. The SEC has tried to out law it for years but they can't stop people from bringing them in if you hide them. Anyways if we want to be loud the link below is the answer, everyone can order there own and put some bobcat stickers on it.

The Medium is plenty big and damn loud. trust me
I know it will not be ready for this week but this will last for years, although the white ones might make it.
My cowbell is 7 years old know and still gets me in trouble at home when I ring it at home in front of the wife for away games.
Also the nation could order in bulk and just sell blank ones at the game. Then there is no NCAA copyright problems.
