Bobcat Luncheon in Helena

Krames said that Brian Beniger will be operated on to correct a torn scapular muscle in his back. He said that the tear has been there since last year. The coaches were wondering why Brian was performing at a sub par level. He was afraid to complain about the pain because he didn't want to be thought of as "soft"...according to Kramer.

Louis Saucedo a 6-5 315 fresman DT has been moved to OL and has been impressing the coaches enough so that they may play him this year in place of Adam DeCock. Krames said Adam needs another year. He also said that Brant Birklend and Peder Jensen need a break. He said they have been playing at a high level with just hustle and heart and could use some backup until they can do what they need to do out of pure experience. He figures that with the addition of Hirst and Saucedo they'll get the break they need.

Kelly will again be on Redshirt Alert at CB. He said there were still too many dropped passes. Justin Dominek has acute athsma and needs a breather once in awhile as did Bruce Mollock. That condition will get better when the weather cools down just like it did for Bruce. Morris Milton will be back this week. Force will return punts ands Mike Williams will return kickoffs...hopefully there will be less wind!

Glad to have Milton back - would much rather see him spelling Justin than Beal, especially near the goal line.

Not real thrilled about a DL man converting to OL. No matter where his talent level is there is a lot to learn to fit into an offensive scheme. I hope that works out and welcome back Joe. Should be interesting.

As far as the return game I don't disagree with that. I think Force did very well and yet Williams gets some chances on kickoffs. Ditto on the wind comment.

Didn't see the dropped passes. One for sure by Gatewood early and maybe a couple of screnes by Guinn on not the best throws (too low and/or too hard) but other than that I saw more tough catches made than drops. Guess that is why Kramer gets paid to coach and I pay to sit in the stands though.
