why was he in there trying to kick a 45 yarder? he's very accurate, but does not have the length for that. why weren't one of the other two in there?
oh well, god forbid we have one perfect guy on the team. lol

i can only assume after nailing a 44 yarder at colorado, he does indeed have enough leg for one extra yard. watch him before the game sometime, he definitely has the leg for 50+ yarders.

I was just wondering when we were going to start roll-out field goal kicking...it seems to work well for our punts!!!

He caught the ball just a hair too low ... very fast rotation on the ball and lots or arc. If he had caught it just a bit lower, it would have been perfect.

I agree with Vegas, he should not attempt a field goal over 43.5 yards. Before the game with no rush is one thing. With pressure is another.

So should we punt over 43.5 yards, or do we have another kicker on the team that has made 44+ yard FGs in a game with a rush under pressure consistently?

45 yarder should not be out of the range of a kicker in I-AA. I dont expect him to make it all the time, but he should have the leg strength to give a confident effort.

I usually get to the games very early to see the kickers and such, but this year I haven't. I am not totally distraught that he missed. I just wish the young man would have been able to make that kick and remain perfect on the season.
I thought that our guy that does Kickoffs was going to be the one kicking the long ones.

is this real? or are you being sarcastic? like i mentioned before, he had a 44 yarder against colorado already this year. and despite us winning that game that we weren't supposed to, i'm pretty sure they still put 11 on the field every play, even on that particular kick. trust me...IN GAMES hastings has the leg for 45+ yards. check out stats in the nfl. guys miss kicks they can make at every level, so relax.
