My hat is off to Rolo I think he did a hell of a job also Carpenter it is never easy to follow in the foot steps of a legend, and thats what Travis is. My question is given everything that happened in the game, if it was Carpenter instead of Rolo do we win??

My vote is for Rolo, this is the first time we have gotten vertical all year. If the defense can't cheat up because they know we can throw the deep ball, look for the running to improve even more.

personally i think we would have pulled it off with Carpenter, but Rolo did a wonderful job. I know he threw a couple picks but at least he has the confidence to just wing it. I say we stick with Rolo.

Bobcats won the first half...Sac won the second half.

But it was Rolo that broke the tie at the end of the game(along with wheaton and the rest of the O). He's a winner, and I say stick with him.

No, a winner is someone that can keep it together, even when the chips are down. Yea, he did get those INTs, but, and this is important...when it came to the big play, the game winning play, he stepped up and make the win happen. He did what the rest of us need to do, forget about the bad stuff, focus on the present. I dont care how it got done, it just got done. And that is what makes the kid a winner. Orrrr, are we just complaining about a win e-griz style?

Who made the "win happen" were the defensive players. Our offense looked like s*** like usual.

While inbetween patients, I have sat here and stared at what you wrote G.W. for about 12min. I guess I'm not sure what to say, I wont change your mind, and its mindless to argue with you on this. So I fold.

I don't....I can't stand people complaining about a "W", particularly on the road.

No complaints here except for a couple of Coach Kramer’s comments after the game. They were a little sloppy on special teams. It was a road win in the big sky conference which is never easy despite that article posted here in the past.

I really like Rolovich. I say let him keep slinging it and building confidence and don't get down on him for throwing a few interceptions.

Yeah, he had 3 INT's but special teams kept this game close much more than the play of Rolovich. If The Cats could have punted past the line of scrimmage this is 28-10. I for one don't believe that Carpenter sees or throws either of those touchdowns Rolo threw.

After having a night to sleep on it and given the plays of the Cats in CA in the past, I think they had a great road win against a decent team and that this team will only get better and play tough on Nov. 18.

Lets all remember, that as bad as we all think Bailey is, he is Coach Bobbii. The griz didn't look particularly shiny yesterday and Bobbii doesn't have a great record of having them ready for the Brawl. The only game he has one was against our beat up defense two years ago. These aren't those same Bobcats from '04.

Grammatical typo there. That should read "he ISN'T Coach Bobbii". My bad.

I can understand venting some frustration here ... the Cats did make this game way too close bacause of three plays -- two blocked punts and the final Rolo INT (and the botched snap on the FG didn't help, either), but I'm a little confused how a road win in BSC play brings back the Bailey bashing.

If we look back at the game and judge it by quarter, are you guys suggesting that Bailey was a genius in the first quarter?

This was a game that MSU dominated on the stats, but made close only because of a lot of huge (and hopefully fixable) errors.

And what a game by the defense. They looked amazing out there ... too bad they were given such a short field so many times.

I think I've got to agree. I don't think the play-calling, or the performance by the Offense was terrible - I did not see them play with any emotion/passion in the second half however.

The only play call that I can think of that I did not like, was the little slipscreen/lateral/whatever it was that was intercepted and returned to our two yard line. I don't think you should call that play when you are that deep in our own territory. Other than that, I don't think Bailey did a bad job.

Our special teams was not bad either - EXCEPT for punting, which almost cost us the game.

Hats off to Kramer for admitting to his mistakes.

Bottom line, we won. Let's learn from it. Find a punting game. And play a full 60 minutes with positive emotion.

I'm not so sure that we would have won or jumped out to such a quick lead with Carpenter. We maybe would have maintained a constant attacking style of offense with Carpenter though. He may not have had the big completions, I am not sure. I think that the game would have been closer for different reasons. Maybe we could have won, if we would have pounded them with all three of our backs.

Just a change would be nice..we have had Mr. Bailey for too long. Does any other school want him? Thought Jack did a nice job.

If Sac did not have such an inept offense we would have lost with the mistakes we made. D played great but even them could not hold off a higher powered offense with the field position we gave them. Sac is last in Rushing, Passing and total O, we hold them to 140 yds. and still only win by three. A win is a win but lets be real and not annoint anyone but the defense for this thing. Two of Rolo int's were total forced balls. The one on the goal line was a poor play call. I have watched several high school teams this year attempt the roll out punt. They manage to get it over the line. We always roll the same way just inviting teams to rush hard from that side and we try to line drive it so much the guys kick it low. Lets just punt the damn ball and put athletes out there that can tackle a return guy. We have not given up a return for several years but how many scores have we given up because of excellent field position due to blocks or 10-yd kicks. end of rant

I think our punt team needs to take a look at the NAU punt game against the griz, they kind of use the same style, but they do it well.

Actually I think both the O and the D won the game for us. ST Almost lost the game for sure. I bet you were just cursing Bailey on those nice scoring drive/plays in the first half eh? Oh that Darn Bailey! Jeesh.
