Let's have some fun part III

Post by Platinumcat » Wed Oct 11, 2006 9:34 pm

Gotta keep rollin' with this so that the 'Cats do too (hey I said I was superstitious :) )

1) Who gets more yards on the ground this weekend, Groves or Mason?
-Tough one here. I saw someone say on here they thought we would run for more then 200 yds this weekend. I do see that happening. I'm gonna go with 130 yds for Mason on 22 carries and Groves with 88 yds on 14 carries.
2) Assuming Rolovich starts, how does his first college start go?
- 22-30 318 yds 2tds 1int - of those yards he has four large gainers a 56 yard td to Jefferson and a 38 yd play to Wheaton and two big ones to Lewis (43 and 36) with one being for a td.
3) Who gets the most receptions?
- Jefferson's gonna have a big game. His constant hustle will pay off again with a qb who looks to throw downfield.
4) Total offensive production?
- 569 yards, 38 points
5) How many sacks does the D get?
- only two which come in the second half when SSU has to go to the air due to our large lead.
6) Overall turnover margin?
- +1
7) With SSU's QB liking to run, do we blitz as much? Will his style of play create matcup issues or will we thrive?
- I think we'll see less blitzing this weekend from the linebackers mainly because their QB basically sounds like a RB under center. So, I say they stay home and step up to nail him at the line.
8) Will Kramer's all business approach to this weekend with no family visits pay dividends?
- I know this sounds crazy, but I think that three game losing stretch earlier in the season brought out an intensity in Kramer I hadn't seen before. I think his players and coaches feel it and are responding with some intense play that just wasn't there in those other games. So, yes, the Bobcat team full of animals will be on the field once again this Saturday; every player to a man is out to prove the three big win cats are the real cats.

I agree with all of it even down to the fact we will score 38 points!

The only thing I would change is Sacks. I think we end up with 4.

1. Mason wins the battle due to Groves only getting in for 20 plays to take it easy on the knee, 116-60. Groves wins the yards-per duel, averaging 7.50 per carry.
2. Solid day for Rolo. 22-29, 320 yds, 2 TD, 1 pick (Hail Mary at the end of the first half)
3. 496 yards, 24 points. Sac has a good kicking day, resulting in us having long fields. Many yards but only 3 TD.
4. Jefferson. 6 catches for 104 and a touchdown. Lewis a close second. 6 catches for 96 yards. Followed by Wheaton. 5 catches for 75 yards and a score. All the others combine for 5 catches for 45 yards.
5. 3 sacks, 1 resulting in a fumble.
6. Cats +2 on the turnover margin.
7. We'll blitz a little less as a whole, but mix in some run blitzes.
8. Yes, yes, yes. This is a business trip, and it's good to see the Big Human treating it like one.

1. I say we end up with 236 on the ground...Mason 124, Groves 91...Groves ends up in the endzone twice and Mason once. The rest will be Rolo

2. I think if the line protects well and picks up the blitz (which Evin definitely will help with) I see Rolo going 18-29 for 274 with 2 tds and 2 pics

3. I think Wheaton will pick up the most pics with Jefferson getting the most yards as a deep threat. Watch out for Lewis though.

4. Total offense is 510yds, 41pts

5. I think we go back to that modified 4 man front we had and put some pressure up in the grill...having Force back calling the shots in the secondary really helps our backers and lineman get some pressure. I think we have 3 sacs

6. Overall turnover margin - even

7. I agree Weirs...step up into his grill and plaster him...as long as the D-ends stay at home I think we will be solid on the front allowing the backers to react and roam.

I think this is a very important part of our defensive scheme this week. D-ends get vertical and keep outside contain....force the play upfield into an awaiting linebacker....POW!!!!

1) Who gets more yards on the ground this weekend, Groves or Mason?
- I say Mason gets 90 and Groves gets 60. 1 rushing TD.

2) Assuming Rolovich starts, how does his first college start go?
- 63% completions, 260 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs

3) Who gets the most receptions?
- Jefferson has been a road warrior and loves warm weather. 8 receptions.

4) Total offensive production?
- 410 total yards, 27 points (3 TDs 2 FGs)

5) How many sacks does the D get?
- 4, because we will get some coverage sacks.

6) Overall turnover margin?
- 0

7) With SSU's QB liking to run, do we blitz as much? Will his style of play create matcup issues or will we thrive?
- I say we try blitzing at first and see what happens. He is very mobile but doesn't have a great arm, but our coverage can break down and no Div1 QB will miss very open guys.

8) Will Kramer's all business approach to this weekend with no family visits pay dividends?
- Yes.
