The front rows of the student section is where all the fun is at. I couldn't believe there weren't any pictures of us in the paper, just drunk tailgaters. It was one of the loudest games except cat/griz. I have added up the hours and it takes me about 40 to regain my voice after a game.MSU Toddler wrote:standing in the student section of last year's Cat/griz game went a long way towards finalizing the deal on my son going to MSU. he had a blast and every time we see that student section on the tube this year - he can't wait to be there next season as a freshman.
thanks students!
also - we need to see more pictures of that section and the wildness!

I could care less about the beer drinkers in the pickup (but I am sure someone does). I actually thought the Mud sliding was interesting and unique and well done by the photographer. Everything makes it a game day experience and something special.oldcatfan wrote:I agree with MSU Toddler. Who wants to see the stupid mud sliders or beer drinkers. Where are the pictures of our awesome student fans? Hello Chronicle...much more entertaining that people holding up beer cans in the back of a pickup or sliding through the mud in garbage sacks.

I always like Jay's work. My personal favorite is pic 13. You can almost hear Big Lou saying "And where do you think you're going, little man?" You almost forget just how big Lou is until you see him next to a mortal. In this case, the kid he's blocking is 5'11" and 200 lbs. and looks like he should be playing Pop Warner.
I'll keep my mouth shut about his hands being outside the frame of the defender...
