Just a few thoughts on the season so far. One: team looks great at times not so great at other times. Conclusion: inconsistency. Two: the offence needs to mix it up. I am amazed that Stonehouse gets the kills that she does because I am sure the other teams are keying on her. I was pleasantly surprised and I am sure the other teams were also when I saw her get a couple attempts in the middle. I would enjoy seeing more of that. No more TIPPING!! Hit the damn thing. Three: U of M's new coach has them at 3 - 0. Did we miss out on something?

Yes we did, but I won't go there

It would probably help if the girls weren't at the football games for four hours before a game!

I don't think you can fault the girls for supporting the other athletic teams.

Yeah, they should be at the football game supporting the team. Just no beers during game

Let's not paint the whole team with the same brush. I know for a fact that at least two of the team do not drink at the football games.

I wasn't implying anything ... I was being sarcastic .. notice the

on my post. I highly doubt any vball players would ever be drinking at the tailgates. They are way too loyal/dedicated to their sport. I do think they should go over and support the football team every game though! Nothing wrong with that.

Sorry my fault...I did not pick up on you sarcasm. I guess that my passion for the game of volleyball and our team affected my ability to see the whole picture. Thanks for setting (no pun intended) me straight.

No problem! Sometimes words don't come across as clear on message boards in what I was trying to imply etc.

Gawd, if they would just play as good as they look on the poster they will be NCAA champs.

Volleyball seems to be under the radar this year. Perhaps it is the very poor record. Does anyone else see a disturbing and consistent trend of worse records every year since Mia Malauulu replaced Dave Gantt? And especially the last two years since Jerry Wagner (read UM head coach) was fired? Our coaching staff now is way too inexperienced for D1 and it is showing. Less wins every year.

The girls fought hard tonight, but lost 3 games to 1 to the Grizzlies. They looked sharp in the first game and the crowd was fired up and they won that one. But for some reason they could not hold on in the next three games. I'm not sure what's going on with volleyball this year but there's some problem. This team seems to play flat when it counts.

Well, the girls lost to the jizz again tonight. Mia has got to go. I agree, we have been progressively worse every year since she took over.

I also agree...Coach Mia's tactics are not working...just look at what Jerry Wagner has done with the same U of M team that won 3 games last year. The girls fought real hard on Friday against Sac. but could not take it over to Sat. I feel that we are not prepared enough or well enough and do not make adjustments quick enough. More could be said but it is too late. Hopefully we can salvage something from what is left of this year and end on a positive note. A positive note... the offence on Friday was different and it seemed to work. I am not sure why Stonehouse spent time on the right side although she did get some kills her most impressive kills come from the left and in the middle. Back row attempts could work if the setters can get the ball in the right place. Many of the sets I feel are to close to the net and limit the hitters as to what they can do. Back row people need to better prepared for the kind of offence the opposition is going to present to us.

Miya's biggest excuse last year was that they didn't have good setting. Can she use that 2 years in a row? I think she should be held to the same standard as the other MSU coaches. If she's not producing, then she should go. And I feel like they have the talent this year too. Being swept by the Griz sucks.

We all know that Sac State owns BSC volleyball. The most dominant team in, any sport, male or female, in the BSC...nuff said...
