This was a nice article on Travis. It was great to see he was their highest paid free agent. It sounds like they may give him a year to develop. That is all one can ask. It would be a nice situation to be on the practice squad for a year (of course, with an injury or poor performance, he could move into the "emergency" (third quarterback role). He should get training camps in both 2006 and 2007. He could make his move up with that opportunity. Travis' intangibles are even a greater resource than his many physical attributes. His leadership, winning attitude, preparation and respect by teammates will show more and more over time. If he gets the time, then he has a great shot to develop into an NFL quarterback. That would be awesome!

I hope both Travis and Bolton get a year to develop. Neither of them had a redshirt year at MSU, so they are both "behind" the other first year players in terms of physical development.GOKATS wrote:Catdad39 wrote:This was a nice article on Travis. There are a lot of guys in the league who never redshirted. Not to mention guys who came out a year early. So Lulay and Bolton aren't really behind physically. If anything they may behind a little due to the caliber of athletes they faced during their careers. I do wish the best for all of our alum who are getting a chance to make it though.HelenaCat95 wrote:I hope both Travis and Bolton get a year to develop. Give em HELL boys.
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
