Playoff Attendance
Get your butts in your seats.
I don’t post much these days, but when I do, its because I think it’s important. Get your butts to the game. PM if you need tickets.
I’m not asking. I’m telling.

It will be rocking for sure but I'm hoping the weather that is coming the next couple days doesn't keep too many people home.

HEAR HEAR!!! Ditto. I know of a few people that are selling their tickets for this one, and fortunately it looks like people are snatching them up but I don't understand how you miss this one of you have any possibility of attending. People keep talking about how this could set up that MONSTER game next weekend, but guess what - this is the only guaranteed game left on the schedule. I even talked to a guy that said he's sitting this one out and saving up for Cat Griz II.GavinDonos wrote: ↑Wed Dec 10, 2025 6:47 pmGet your butts in your seats.

My group will be there. Heck, you sure can't blame the weather. By game time we are looking at 40 degrees and cloudy/partly cloudy conditions.
HUGE game. SFA will be a VERY difficult game. I will be shocked if this doesn't go to the end of the final whistle.

Totally agree on Bozeman weather, it's just getting there for some folks (and getting home) that will deter them from making the drive. Winter Storm warning all over the state North of Bozeman. Calling for 6 to 10 inches of snow, and for example the forecast HIGH in Plentywood on Friday is -8.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

Well, there’s something about those Texas teams that concern me. Remember the year we played Sam Houston and they had a different gear than we had? I hope your optimism pans out. I think I still have a bit of hangover from the Yale game

SFA has the second ranked defense in all of FCS if I’m not mistaken. Hope we get the O in sync!

Re: Playoff Attendance
I remember that year all too well. That Elvis Akpla catch was basically the only highlight we had. Our OLine, defense, physicality, coaching, and overall team speed was not even close to being where we are at now. If our 2025 team played our team from that Denarius McGhee Sam Houston loss year, the 2025 Bobcats would roll them by more than 3 scores. We are so much better now than we were back then so I don't think that is a fair comparison.
The last time we went to Texas in the 2021 playoffs, we rolled the #1 team in the country Sam Houston, even though they had 3 NFL players and the highest rated FCS CB to come out of that draft class. We heard all week long about their crazy athletic team and that we had no chance, yet we rolled them. That game proved that our program now has athletes and coaching that can hang with the best of them.
I respect SFA, and similar to the 2021 Sam Houston team, they have a Senior Bowl CB that is 6'1 190 named Charles Demmings. He is the highest rated FCS CB for this 2026 NFL draft. Sam Vidlak has a good arm, dosen't turn the ball over, and their team defense is fast and fly to the ball... Does this scare me to the core that we can't handle their speed at our house? where we are 38-2 under Vigen with only the only 2 losses in OT to NDSU and SDSU? Hell no. It might be a close game, but using some logic, it will take dang near a miracle for SFA to win. Even crazier stat is out of those 38 home wins, we won 34 of them by double digits! I really, really like our chances to make it to Nashville.

Re: Playoff Attendance
I think attendance might be down. The roads are going to be horrible in eastern MT. There’s quite a few people who travel anywhere from 250 miles to 600 miles one way. And the roads are going to be garbage. I sure hope I’m wrong. I know of several who are not making the trip because of the weather moving in tonight.

Re: Playoff Attendance
Have you watched their playoff game vs. ACU? ACU ran all over them. I’m more concerned with their offense than defense. And I’m not overly concerned with their offense as long as we don’t give Vidlak an hour in the pocket.

I think we match up better with them than we did with Yale.CodyCat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 11, 2025 5:27 amPlease explain. I love your confidence but I’d like to know why.
I don't think SFA is bad by any means, I just think we outclass them on the LOS and that's going to make a big difference. Yale was better than I thought, but more importantly, they matched up really well with MSU. I don't think there's a single team left in the playoffs that can do that, except for maybe USD. We're not great against a power run game, but really only USD runs that of anybody who's left. We're just better than SFA.

Re: Playoff Attendance
You sure can if you're travelling from all over the state to get there! For lots of people it will depend on what transpires from the storm that is coming. If some of the areas get the amount of snow projected, along with the wind and low temps, it could easily keep people from driving.
