Breakfast on Saturday
Breakfast downtown: I assume every place will be packed on Saturday for breakfast. Any suggestions for a 9:30 breakfast??

Re: Breakfast on Saturday
Western Cafe. You'll probably have to wait to get a table
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do, but 48-23 may be the best of all.

Re: Breakfast on Saturday
The Western has never disappointed.
Main Street Overeasy has disappointed once, but been excellent the other few times I’ve been there.
Jam has always been great, but expensive
Can’t believe this, but I’ve never been able to try The Club Tavern, but have always heard the chicken fried steak is the best around.
The Feed Cafe has been great both times I’ve been there. Be prepared to stand in line.

Re: Breakfast on Saturday
Does the Cats Paw still have $2.99 chicken fried steak with a pound of hash browns and another pound of gravy? $1 red beer to wash it down?
Kidding, but that was a monthly Sunday morning must from about 1992-1994 with the following bloat nap and then studying while watching the NFL.

I don’t sleep great in hotels, the last few game days I have gone to the Western when they open at 6. Walk right in and get a table or sit at the bar if you are solo or 2.

I’d either go to The Western, or Storm Castle. Either way you’ll have to wait, and if you’re planning on waiting until 9:30, you’re going to have to wait a long time. Wake up earlier is my suggestion.

Re: Breakfast on Saturday
To be more specific, Club Tavern has the best CFS in town. Not a knock on the Western(great CFS) and Storm Castle is excellent (always forget about that place), but the Club's CFS is something else.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Fri Nov 14, 2025 9:14 amHard, hard, disagree.cat_stache_fever wrote: ↑Fri Nov 14, 2025 2:57 amChicken Fried Steak at the Club Tavern. Sadly inflation has reached the hallowed, beer and vomit drenched halls of the Cats Paw. Pitcher a beer and CFS is gonna run at least $30. Still have free ice though!!

Oh I’ve had it more than a few times. I think the quality and consistency has gone downhill by a fair margin in the past couple years.cat_stache_fever wrote: ↑Fri Nov 14, 2025 9:49 amTo be more specific, Club Tavern has the best CFS in town. +1 for Cat's Paw breakfast.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Cats Paw still my number one breakfast spot gamedays. Prices definitely up like everywhere but still great portions for what you pay. And a million games on so if food takes a bit longer you’re easily distracted! Ha
