It's crazy looking at the depth chart every week and seeing how young this Cats' team is.

45 total offensive and defensive players on the 2-Deep.

Freshmen: 11
Sophomores: 16
Juniors: 11
Seniors: 7

Eckert was re0injured in practice today and is out for Saturday. Brott will most likely sit out also.

So maybe we give up 14 points instead of a late 7.

Geeeez. The one thing that could ruin everything is injuries. We need to be pretty close to fully healthy going into the Brawl. Otherwise, we'll have a tough time in that game. Especially if both of our starting big men in the middle aren't healthy.

Yeah, was just discussing the impact of injuries on SDSU with my brother and if we are missing guys for UCD and UM that could put a very different light on this season. Hopefully we get them back in time.

Dang, that sucks about Eckert... hopefully nothing serious. Strange on Brott as I heard it was just a minor ankle deal. Might have heard wrong.

guessing on Brott that a week of rest will let it heal better. Colter said that Cats routinely play 20 guys on defense. Having the 2 backup interior DL playing with the 1s will not show much of a drop off other than not as much depth.

Yep, if Brott and Eckert are both really out, that wlll certainly test our depth... we don't want to pound on Marsh and Black too much... are the next two up Sharbono and Perkins? What about Tanupo, Wiens, Asuega, Schneider

Sharbono and one of Tanupo, Wiens, or Asuega. Would imagine they’d like to preserve Asuega’s redshirt if possible.

You probably didn't hear wrong, but it makes sense that they would want to be very careful this week with even minor injuries. Paul Brott is a great player but MSU can easily beat Weber without him, so why put him out there and risk further injury when the schedule ramps up in difficulty starting with the Davis game next week.

Eckert was grabbing his back when he went off against UNCU. Those injuries can be problematic.

I’ve been waiting for Sharbono to take the next step. He is strong and gets a good push and eats up blocks, but needs to work on technique to shed blocks, especially where he’s partially held and needs to break free.

Correct, he can play in one more and still redshirt. Pretty wild a true freshman DT has gotten snaps in 3 games already.

rest the injuries now, don't aggravate the injuries. Dec and Jan require full strength and readiness.

i want to see the starters out at the half.
