Stadium Expansion News For East Side?

Curious if anyone has heard anything yet regarding east side grandstand replacement/expansion? Perhaps way too early since the indoor facility just got built, but I don't want to take the foot off the gas regarding stadium expansion.

Leon has mentioned a couple times in the last few weeks that they are updating the facilities plans and has strongly hinted that stadium seating (besides the new endzone bleachers) will be one of the top priorities. I don't remember if he mentioned a timeline for the new plan or not.

I heard the new master plan was finished and to be unveiled in July, then August, then….who knows. I think it is another one of those things where they get ahead of themselves by giving out rosy start or end dates of projects and then reality hits. My guess now will be to look around homecoming for an update or announcement.

By all means, don’t take your foot off the expansion, go ahead and open up that wallet and let’s get this thing done.

I went to media day in early August and I think he said in a couple months. So, homecoming sounds about right.

If i would have won the lottery last Saturday night we would have been building new east side seating right after this season ended.

That whole east side has a very 1978 high school feel. Wait long enough and maybe it will be back in style!

I remember when teams used to build inflatable domes as well. Wonder why they stopped doing that years ago…..
