Pretty sure he blocked a field goal that day to. I was at the game, first time I had ever been to Missoula’s stadium.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 15, 2025 8:59 amI'm not 100% sure on this but I've had this story told to me so many times that I have to believe it's true.
Entering the 2002 Cat-Griz game Thomas had quite the reputation around the league as a braggart. Coach Kramer had his back on just about everything he said. Story goes that UM HC Joe Glenn didn't like it and wanted to humiliate Thomas. UM had an atrocious day passing the ball with the wind whipping around. I think they attempted around 15 passes in the first half and only completed one if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure how much of that was Thomas but he obviously played a role, and it was a big strategic mistake.
His take on the Cat-Griz game in this interview is awesome.
He did. It kept the game tied. He talks about that play in the interview.Hi-Line Bobcat wrote: ↑Sun Jun 15, 2025 9:43 amPretty sure he blocked a field goal that day to.
