Nice, the rare transfer player who hasn't used up any eligibility or their redshirt year yet. Welcome Cale!

RB room…. Check.

RB room is fully loaded now. Maybe 1 more secondary guy? a solid WR?…. Maybe a LB?…. Not a whole lot else is really needed?

I think he could play right away. Quite an addition.

There's not a whole lot of room on the roster for other players to come in, they're already right up against the new 105 roster limit.

There will be departures, voluntarily and forced. I wouldn’t worry about roster limits.

He was injured his senior year. I don’t know the body part or the severity. He missed the two playoff games before the championship game. He had some up and down games but his team is in one of the top leagues in NV. His 5.8 ypc is good, not great. Not particularly fast.

I hope we aren't playing him right away. He isn't taking snaps from Jones or Davis and from what I saw in the spring Coon is going to get touches and then there is White. If Breslin is playing we've had some serious attrition at the RB spot.

I think he comes on as one of the best short yardage backs MSU has. He’s somewhat similar to Davis.

This guy had good power 4 offers just a year ago. Certainly a higher profile HS recruit than any of our current backs except Davis. I'm optimistic that at the very least, he'll provide talented depth-- and maybe more.

Seems like he has a strong family background as well.

I like his strength. Not every back needs to be a burner. Sometimes you need that guy who puts his knee in the LB guts and stiff arms for 3-5 yards.

Many fans expected ULH to have a role on the team this coming season, so I don’t see why there wouldn’t be any snaps for Breslin if he’s ready.

I also think in this era of football you just have to use guys while you’ve got them. You’re not guaranteed another season with anyone.

I believe this will be the short yardage back.

I agree, he runs a lot like Davis. We'll see if it's as "angry"!

You may be right...why hand it off when you can get the snap, look for the blocking to develop, and run to daylight just like Chambers.

That guy is well spoken. Provides some context on what may have happened.

PS. Still odd to me the BYU isn’t a G5 school.

If he wins the starting job, they aren’t going to want him taking punishment in short yardage. I’m sure he would be a weapon there, but they’re going to want other options.

Might explain his low* ypa. If he was the short yardage/goal line guy it would’ve drug that down.

*most high end HS RBs are in the 7-8+ area.

Breslin was 6.7 YPC as a junior and 6.0 as a senior following an early hamstring injury. His average as a sophomore has brought down his overall. Seems like the numerous schools that offered him weren’t very concerned about his “low” YPC.
