Maybe should have put this somewhere else but here's what she's moving on to. The article also lists her many accomplishments while at MSU, very impressive, as we know.

I am surprised that they would consider her. After all the scandals and mishaps under her rule, I thought, for sure she would never work again. * This is sarcasm and
many crazy ass conspiracy, talking points of Gris fans.

This will be a great opportunity for her, and she will definitely excel in this role.

That's interesting. I thought she was retiring.

Well she is, from Montana State.

Is it a full-time position? If so, I imagine the demands are not nearly as intense as those of the MSU President?

I think the next president will be better. She did a great job but everything is set up for presidents to be good here.

She’s going to be managing 61 Billion in research funding?

Whoa.

I hope the rumored "big gift" that Cruzado worked to get for the Bobcats, stays with the Bobcats and she doesn't talk them into donating it to her new gig. That is if there is actually a big gift.

I was hoping she'd be on the selection committee for the next president. Or is that not how it's done?

Does anyone know when the selection for the next MSU President will be made? Is there a timeline for the hire to be in place? Does anyone have any updates? Thanks.

The goal is to hire someone this spring who I presume would take over immediately when Cruzado retires at the end of June.

I would be quite surprised if she had any influence over the hiring decision. It’s not common practice for a predecessor to be involved in selecting their replacement. However, having them take finalists around campus or discuss successes and challenges with the candidates wouldn’t be unusual.
