MSU Rodeo invited to Inaugural Parade

Post by nanacat » Tue Jan 14, 2025 9:14 pm

I know this isn't Bobcat Football, but they play a pretty big role in the Cats home games. This is quite an honor!

That’s fantastic, they deserve to be recognized on a national level.

The article says that they'll be riding local horses instead of transporting their own all the way out there and back.

I’m assuming they are flown out just as they transport thoroughbred horses for races. I’m also guessing this is all covered from funds budgeted for the inauguration ceremony.

Using horses from Washington and travel is covered by donor support, according to the article.

Bezos & Zuckerberg are going to be real confused that their 7 figure inauguration donations are going to a rodeo team… but awesome for MSU!

Congrats to the rodeo team. Too bad they won't receive proper recognition when this thread gets locked down due to political leanings. Keep that sh!t to yourself

Yeah, a very cool honor. Almost all the cowgirls and cowboys are from Montana and those that aren't have the Montana country lifestyle in their blood. So, they represent the state, especially long time Montanans, very well.

Does anyone know if they'll get to meet the new president or any dignitaries? Does the parade route go right by the inauguration site? Will the parade be televised? I've never watched an inauguration before, as you can probably tell.

*hopefully someone tells them that MSU is in Bozeman, not Belgrade. [-X I can just here the PA person now. "And all the way from Belgrade, Montana..." :-s

Isn't the practice facility technically in Belgrade.
