Now that we have moved on from the coaching distraction, can we talk some football? Anyone else but me notice that we had four bye weeks this season?

Granted, time off between playoff games may technically not be called bye weeks, but that's what they essentially are.
With the Cats playing Week 0 this year, we had two mid-season bye weeks this year, unlike many other teams. With the first round bye in the playoffs, and the week off between the semis and title game, this weekend marks our fourth bye week of the season. This has to help immensely with healing guys that are banged up, extra time in the film room, and extra time with the coaches. I feel like this is one of those things, among so many others, that have really helped this team get over the hump this season.

I am not sure it gives us any advantages over NDSU for this game. However I think it goes a long ways in developing our younger players for next year with the amount of extra practice and film study they will all have.

Yep, that is pretty crazy when you think about it. I love that we've had SOOOO much Bobcat football to watch this year, and I really appreciate the young men that put so much effort into this. Not even considering all the off season stuff, these guys will have been cranking 100% for over 5 months after the Chipper.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

On top of that, 9 home games and a 16 game season. We basically got an NFL season this year from the Cats.

Another advantage will be how much game experience the young 2nd and 3rd team players were able to get this year in MSU's many blowout wins. The 2025/26/27 Bobcats will be better teams because of how good the 2024 team led by its legendary senior class has been.
