These ended up being right at $500 per ticket for a direct flight.

I booked 2 on the flight for 539 a piece. Better than the alternative I had lined up.

Not sure what the issue is but it’s showing me flights $1500-$2500

Yep….me too. I already bought tickets but it’s fun to watch how the prices go up and down by the hour. I can’t find any flights on United out on anywhere in this state that is under $1200 right now.

Yep in less than an hour they tripled quadrupled their prices thanks a lot United airlines.
Glad mine is already booked was just trying to book a couple for some people in our party

There must be an algorithm that causes the price to go up commensurate with how fast the flight is filling up? It's probably almost full already.

The number of people that searched the flight just to see the price helps drive it up quicker than the actual bookings. I was curious too and realized I probably am not helping the great people of Bozeman…

Which is BS and kinda pi$$es me off. Ya, I get it, economics and supply and demand and all that but doesn't mean I have to like it. Not to get political here or anything but I think that since whenever an airline gets in trouble, i.e. isn't making enough money, and we bail them out with our taxpayer dollars..... I think that should allow us to not let them gouge us when a particular flight gets super high in demand. Off Soapbox.

Btw use Google Flights to look for flights, not the airline websites until you are 100% ready to book. If you keep going to the United website they will keep raising the price for you because they know you're interested

They can override that if they want. Should be a requirement that it can't go up a designated % over starting price. Then also get rid of the huge reseller fees on event tickets while also allowing normal fans a chance to purchase direct before resellers gobble them up.

It's all probably powered by Google AI, so it all feeds back. I use Google flights in an incognito window exclusively for business travel as it can compare the times, carriers, etc. There have been any number of times I can remember searching exhaustively for flights to fit a particular schedule, but not book anything. Come back to it later in the day and all flights have jumped 20%. Go home and do it that night from a different IP address and flight prices are magically the same as when I looked the first time. It's a racket.

Allegiant flights not showing yet on their website. Like everything related to Allegiant, looks like they are delayed. Even releasing the availability of the flight...

I had the flight set for $400 round trip but it kicked back at Purchase stating the prices had increased.
3 times it did that, increasing the price each time.

Yes but they were all sold out a couple days ago. Same with EB charters. The Billings flight might still have some availability but Bozeman and GF were both full as of last Monday.

Yeah, I was quoted $1,850 per person, which isn't a bad deal considering it includes air fare, hotel room for three nights, and transportation to and from the game and some of the Alumni events. I booked my seats with them weeks ago, just so I wouldn't have to worry about getting a flight.
