Well, at least he is handing the keys to a Ferrari off to the next guy and not a 1986 Honda Civic.

Are you pumped with this news? You've expressed your displeasure for quite awhile with Vigen.

His posting history is rather sordid. Not much of a fan if you ask me….

Displeasure with Vigen at this point?

Costello made a great hire, and if he can hire someone as successful as Vigen again, whenever that may be, we'll be extremely lucky. He's the best head coach we've had here in a very, very long time.

I'll miss him but Kane Ioane or Bobby Dailey would keep the ship cruising.

Ha! I knew you were a fake fan making up rumors! It's Daly!

Ioane had his chance at the job.
For in house, my preference is Daly. I think I’d rather they hire from outside though.

You guys are hilarious. If you believe everything you read, I feel very sorry for you. I post a lot of stuff because I get more enjoyment out of watching people like you believe it, let it stew inside you and then watch you go full attack mode. What I am saying here, is that if Vigen does leave which is a possibility, at least he isn’t leaving the program with a 3-9 or 2-10 record. The next coach isn’t rebuilding, they walk into an amazing program that both Choate and Vigen have done an incredible job building. But, keep taking the bait please because if laughing does make you live longer, I’m going to be 130 when I go.

As good as Daly may be (not a knock on him at all) I wonder if we're at the point where we are done hiring first time head coaches. The last two were perfect for our needs though.

So by your own admission you're saying that you're an internet version of the little boy who cried wolf. Uffda, your family, children and grandchildren must be so proud of you. The kind of laughter you're getting there might not be as beneficial as you think.

I think Ioane did the right thing. He got to see a different way of doing things. I always thought he needed more seasoning to actually be a head coach. I would feel better now if he wanted the job than before he left Daly did a great job with the defense and he has had seasoning at other programs.

I'd be all in on Daly getting the job.
That being said there would be some incredible applicants. MSU would need to hire arguably the two most visible positions for the university this year...football coach and president.

How about current MSU o-line coach Al Johnson as a possible candidate if Vigen moves on? NFL career, former D-2 head coach, FBS assistant experience.
Of course it also depends on who on the current staff wants to go with Vigen and who wants to stay in Bozeman.

Jimmy Hoffa. It's the only logical explanation.

The only thing I remember about you is you getting put on blast by the entire board because of how reactionary you are in the game threads. Especially Davis, if i recall. I don't really know your thoughts on Vigen and am not going to bother to look, but if they are anything other than he's an outstanding coach then there probably isn't a coach out there that will make you happy.

Well, if Vigen is headed to Fresno it will be interesting to see how they handle the public announcements of the move. Does he do it like Matt Entz at NDSU did last year and announce he's leaving while MSU is still alive in the playoffs or do they keep everything quiet until MSU's season is over? The best thing the Bobcats can do is just keep on winning, make Fresno wait, and hope they get impatient as other teams start signing all their transfer guys.
