Things that impressed you in 2024 regular season
A thread for fans to point out plays, situations, moments that dropped their jaws. I'll start:
MSU went into its first game without an offensive lineman starting in his position.
Injuries to center Perkins, guard Reed and guard Mastel forced guard Sain to move to center, tackles Wehr and Moore to guard and brought Jefferson and Fleischmann off the bench to play tackle. MSU proceeded to gain 567 yards that included 362 yards rushing on FBS New Mexico. They held up against the UNM pass rush on the final drive that started with 1:59 to play at the MSU 10. In the end, Wehr, Sain and Fleischmann stayed at those positions, while Moore moved back to tackle after Mastel, then Reed, became healthy enough to return their guard spot.

Kicking game
Offensive and Defensive coordinators and overall coaching.
Team brotherhood and chemistry
Adam Jones, although I saw his growth in Spring ball
Rohan Jones
Andrew Powdrell
Defensive line. I thought that might be a problem with depth at the start of the season.
Secondary
New parking lot, scoreboard, and indoor.

How much my friends can drink at tailgates and still be functional during the game.

How often we would have more rushing yards than our opponent had total yards. Overall I don't enjoy rush heavy offenses, but our rushing attack is so damn good that I can't do anything but smile at how fun running it down our opponents throats is

Re: Things that impressed you in 2024 regular season
Oh gosh, I was going to start a similar thread once the offseason came around. I know I will have more as I think about things.
1. Watching Tommy be un phased after two scoop and scores at UNM.
2. The PA guy at Idaho State playing Mony Mony and immediately turning it off.
3. The pass from Tommy to Taco that was caught overhead for a TD. I dont remember what game that was, maybe NoCo.
4. The last four minutes of the 1st half and first four minutes of the second half against Idaho.
5. Completely manhandling PSU's qb
6. The defense at Eastern playing a bit flat and then turning it on the last quarter and a half.
7. Everything about the Davis game.
8. FTG.
9. Tys TD pass.
10. The field goal kicking.
11. Both Coordinators.
12. The lack of drama off the field.
13. MSU's social media team.
14. Vigens pressers.
15. The videoboard.
16. The way the defense played after losing Dowler, Schmidt, and Danny U. Daily's emergence was fun to watch. Not mistake free but still fun.
17. Taco being so good at punt returns that he quietly passed Bergen as the most dangerous punt returner in the Big Sky.
18. Rohan Jones
19. Brenden Hall - WOW!!!
20. Teaching my 2.5 year old daughter to tell her mom "boo griz" all last week and during the game.
21. Watching the players social media accounts and seeing just how much NIL is affecting their lives. Really cool.
22. Being underrated all season due to a percieved weak schedule.
23. FTG.
24. Mony Mony
25. Whoever came up with the hashtag #HauckTauh
26. No major travel delays getting the team to games (I know, coming home from Davis there were issues).
27. Watching our offensive line and receivers work and block play after play was truly special.
28. FTG!!!
Im sure I have a ton more that Im not thinking about right now.

Fine I'll add some football.
Taco's ability to field in traffic, whether a fair catch or return. It has saved a lot of field position. He gets to about everything and reads hops very well, picking ball up to save the roll out.

I echo pretty much everything above. Offense, Defense, Special Teams, Team Depth, Head Coach, New Coordinators, Senior Class, Game Day Operation/Environment, New Parking Lot, Indoor Facility.....Pretty much everything.
No notes from me

Next-man-up on defense. I was worried as hell about our defense taking a major step back from offseason departures and then, even more so, in-season injuries. Paul Brott-wurst, Neil Daily, and Bryce Grebe have been huge!

Vigen with the "proud dad" smile at the end of this one. To me its the brotherhood they've shown all season. We lost three of our best defensive players and the defense has arguably gotten better.

Everything that was an issue last year (play calling, kicking, mentality) changed this year and had now become a strength. That shows how phenomenal our coaches are.
